I just picked up the 900mah Varivolt EGO batt from Drew. Did I need it??? No but this thing is pretty nice. I still use eGo/Riva batts when I do not want to carry around a MOD and the size of the standard batts allows for stealth ops when needed. This batt is a little large for stealth (and the LED batt indicator and glowing multicolor voltage ring may blow your cover) but the ability to switch between 3 voltages makes it a nice tool for the vaping arsenal. At 4.2 volts it is driving a 2.0 ohm Boge carto nicely.

What to put on the D'win... Hmm, let's see. No, let's not see. Eyes closed, pick something. All good.

Ski, another device? Hahhahahahaa! I think you are officially worse than I am.

Oh that's official! My wife beat me to the mailbox today. There were two packages in the mailbox and 3 boxes on the front porch. I did not have the balls to tell her that I am expecting 4 more packages this week. HOW MUCH IS ENOUGH???? Is three liters of nic gonna cut it, 200+ flavors------ I don't know it a freakin sickness I tell you. How many batts do I really need??? Well our women Darwinians need not answer that :) Screw it I use the L2S logic of how many cartons of smokes could I have bought with all this weeks vaping loot deliveries - Answer is 2.5 so vape on and I will sleep on the couch

BTW all ---- After spending a few hours w/this new VariVolt batt Drew has I give it a solid A. It has the nice rubbery Ego feel. The LED color indicator is subtle but useful and the 5 bar batt level gauge is really nice. No more guessing when the batt is going to crap out. When charging, the gauge is actually pretty useful since it blinks the level that is charging and solid bars the full level. With 5 bars I will assume each represents 20% charge. I vaped it for about 4 hours @ 4.2V using a Boge 2.0 carto and put about 2.5mls through it, two bars solid and three blink in sequence when placed on the charger. A little pricey at $30 if you compare it to a straight eGo type batt but if you consider the three voltage options and the added light show then IMO it is not a bad deal for a small sized little power house. The 4.2 option beats the eGo and Riva so since I like that batt style as Mr Sheen would say WINNER. Anyway just my .02 pennies for what its worth.

If I were still using my old Tornado batts or just my SDs, I'd definitely go for one or more of those new varivolt eGos. They do look like a slick little device and would make an excellent introduction into VV for a lot of people. Frankly, though, in my case I'm pretty well set with the mods I've got now and it would take something truly spectacular to get me to buy any more hardware . . . lets just ignore the fact that there are still mods out there I'd love to have, oh and a backup Darwin, and don't forget a next generation Darwin with whatever cool features they come up with, and . . .

True KJ True. The only reason I went for it is that I am still a fan of the eGo/Riva platform. Even with the many MODs I have at my disposal I still use those eGos/Rivas daily. I travel often and they are also part of the travel gear (along with the Darwins). I still find that when I can't pull out a Darwin (or other MOD) those batts come in really handy. They are also essentially disposable ------ meaning if I drop one off a ski lift or in the lake yeah it will suck but at least it is not a $200+ MOD. Anyway I just thought with Drew being such a cool kat and letting us go buck wild in his subforum I would give some props for a product that he has just listed since I have tried it out. Figured if any Darwinians are in the market for a eGo type batt they may want to look at this thing since it is pretty cool. Also as an added bonus I did not have to hit the F5 key----instant gratification. I saw it I liked it I bought it. Now if I do not get a trippy tip maybe I will just have to go back to the nHaler site an buy another VV eGo :) Happy vapes my friend

Yea, those batteries are really nice. Definately solid and it's very nice to have the options :D They last forever too.

lol, that is an excellent point. I shudder to think of dropping a PV somewhere out in the woods and not noticing right away. I must admit that I do have a soft spot for the eGo platform, too, as it was my first worthwhile PV. I actually had trouble giving away my old Tornado batts, even though I wasn't using them anymore

I still have my eGo and Riva. Would never give them away. They are a staple in my pile of PV Mods. They are about a couple years old and still perform outstanding.

I even keep the dead ones around...
Never know when you need that platform (a solid 510 work/vice) to pop open a carto or work on something. Also nice to steal parts from (buttons and such).
