Who cares if they're popular or not. Get what works for you.
If you can break a Darwin 5 times in less than a year...I'd suggest getting something simple and cheap...LOTS OF THEM.
If you need/want lots of power...consider a cheap box mod with a good VV regulator.

If you think a Darwin is fragile, wait till you start messing with battery chargers and things with tabs/threads/springs that you have to open and close at least once a day. Even the best chargers out there are susceptible to all sorts of damage when you start hauling them around.

Maybe a Darwin isn't for you. If you can break one that frequently and easily...maybe high end mods, especially those without lifetime warranties aren't really for you either? Oh well, it's your money. I do hope you find one that suits you. Sincerely....who cares what is popular. Find what works for you

No the darwin stopped working last time for no reason. Accept it. Truth is stranget then fiction. I dropped one by mistake putting it in my pocketthst doesnt mesn I cant handle.hardware. Actually Im a licensed electrician and am highly skilled with installation materials I can handle screwing in an endcap with a spring on it

Maybe I just got lucky. Mine has taken a pretty good beating. Even several weeks of salt water fishing and fresh water skiing. It's bounced around in boat wells and gotten pretty wet...etc. I hate that yours has been such a lemon. Apologies for my reluctance to find it hard to believe a Darwin would be so fragile, but then again, it is highly possible. I only have one.

Good luck finding what fits your needs. Are you selling yours or getting it fixed and holding on to it?

I did im using a buzz pro just ordered a pro vari and will be getting a reo grand I dont need the hassle of anothet darwin replacement

Its not built well if u dont use a gooseneck it will get leakage directly inside the chip

Might I offer a suggestion.....get it fixed and sell it.....

Your Darwin has been repaired under warrantee several times according to your posts and is now not working....why not get it repaired/replaced and then sell it.....If you hate the Darwin, that is entirely up to you, but to complain and bad mouth it in this Darwin thread will gather you no sympathy.....

Hope you find a device that suits your needs.....the Darwin(variable wattage) is my device of choice, and I know that others like the Vari(or other Variable Voltage units). Since you are an electrician(I'm a retired Electrical Contractor), you know the difference between voltage and wattage....

Never has been a problem for me, and I do my fair share of dripping.
Plus, it's a sealed board...coated and protected. They dumped gallons of liquid into several to test it.

It's built very well. It has tolerance for changing temperatures and conditions. It is flexible in how it is held/handled/used. It has great li-poly batteries and a built in charger. It is adjustable power.

That is better than having snap off points and rubber/nylon pieces that get brittle or dry-rot over time. The board moves on purpose to prevent damage to it. The board can be put back in place. It is a well thought out PV.

Build a house with zero tolerances in the design...it cracks and buckles and falls apart. Give it spaces to do its thing, it will stand for centuries.

I'm just laughing reading this thread as my Darwin blows vape stacks high high into the ceiling of the room I'm vaping in at the moment, this is quite an entertaining read to say the least. ROCK ON & VAPE ON Darwin users.!
