Good morning fellow Darwinians. I received my Darwin 2 days ago and love it. It's a wonderful device. However, the button is rather difficult to press and my fingers are rather sore and even painful this morning. I am a chain vapor and have used different mods with 4 styles of buttons without having pain like this.
Silly question but perhaps I'm doing something wrong? Does the button loosen after time? Sorry if I sound negative here. I would love any advice or suggestions. Thanks!

Hi, I tend to agree with you, after using it constantly I tend to switch fingers and hands. It does not get looser over time.

Thanks for your reply emonty. :) I just noticed only one side of the button depresses. I was pressing straight down before. It's a bit easier if I apply pressure to the one side instead trying to press the entire button down.

Is your Darwin the same?

It could be the depression in the brass piece isn't lined up perfectly with the switch, which would explain why pushing on one side works better than the other. It's just a micro switch underneath, so shouldn't take too much effort to depress. It is a little different feel to most other mod switches I've experienced, so may just take some getting used to ;-)

EDIT: nevermind that first statement, all this time I've had my Darwin and I didn't realize the brass part of the button was hinged :blush: Learn something new every day :p

Thanks Liv2Ski (great Avatar photo by the way).

Welcome and enjoy the Darwin. Pic is of my ski tips looking over Corbet's at Jackson Hole before diving in. Trying to plan another trip out to the "Holy Land" this winter. Praying for Big snow this season!!! Happy vapes

Yes, it is the same, better to press a Darwin then being depressed and not having one ;-)

And if you don't get an answer right away, just keep depressing that button until you do. With any luck you'll be far enough into vape-nirvana that you won't even remember asking :p

Glad you're liking your Darwin, Lynn. There is nothing else in my arsenal that even compares. Sometimes I think I would have been better off just buying two of them from the get-go and skipped the rest ;-) I still like my other mods, but I always keep coming back to my Darwin

Middle of nowhere
Welcome everybody new to the Darwin.
The switch is easier to press if you press the end toward the arm.
The arm is loose on purpose. NOT a flaw.
The newer version is suppose to blink. Safety feature.
It's better to charge when you are a sleep than let it run down.
I charge when I'm on the computer or at night when I sleep.
I never go over two days before I charge the Darwin.
You can basically use any usb to charge.
It will not overcharge.
The light on the charger that comes with it will not change colors when it is plugged in or change when it is fully charged. If you watch close it will dim when you first connect it.
You can use anything on the Darwin, may require a adapter. I have not heard of anything that will not work with it.
You will need an adapter to use a tank or some other things. It will not close with a (EX. VTX tank) on it.
Don't worry about turning it off it will be fine. I turn my off maybe once a week. That's just to put it in my pants pocket.
Evolv has GREAT customer service. If you have a problem please contact them first before you complain. The first thing you will be ask if you complain is" did you contact Evolv."
I can not think of anything else to add right now.
Here is a place to get loads of answers.
