Learn something new every day It could be the depression in the brass piece isn't lined up perfectly with the switch, which would explain why pushing on one side works better than the other. It's just a micro switch underneath, so shouldn't take too much effort to depress. It is a little different feel to most other mod switches I've experienced, so may just take some getting used to ;-)

Thanks for your reply emonty.I just noticed only one side of the button depresses. I was pressing straight down before. It's a bit easier if I apply pressure to the one side instead trying to press the entire button down.

Yes, it is the same, better to press a Darwin then being depressed and not having one ;-)
just got my Darwin this week! its a great device. quick question: is the screen backlight supposed to flash every now and then when not pressing the button?
