Ya, fortunately my bank was very agreeable about it. They said it could take 30 days, but was sorted out in a week. It would have really sucked to have a card freeze while traveling (like you do, more than I), but fortunately I was at home during the whole episode. Unfortunately I was also highly overdrawn for a while.

Gee NV I got off easy then! My card was only charged $135.45 at Macy's online on 4/19. Disputing it now and account number has been changed.

To funny, my Visa Debit card got whacked for almost $1500 2 weeks ago, My Bank ( TD Bank ) had me come in and sign a Reg E form and it was handled in 3 day or so... so the cut up my card and issue me a new one..... about 5 days later I get my statement in the mail,,, I see another charge for about $50 on the statement and scratch my head like what is this I bought from China. Well turns out it was another charge from my old card on my new statement , it didn't go through until after I reported the first fraud,,, bottom line = check your statement or go on line even after you catch the first fraud, they may hit you again and you not pick up on it till to late or have to go to the bank again to handle it like I did

oh and dam these Darwins are great,,,, my Two are always in use :)

Thanks MWA. This is old school for me now. I don't even get upset anymore. The 4th time in 7 years that I have had to change an account number. Twice the bank caught it twice I saw it. One day they will figure out a way to catch these jerk offs. This type of crime, like shoplifting, costs us all even though as individuals we are covered be the CC companies in the end all the honest people end up paying higher fees to cover these bung holes.

I use a prepaid credit card, or my PayPal, in the case of the prepaid I load it up with the cash I need to spend, and that's it. If somebody wants to get my number feel free, haha, my Google wallet got hacked and they tried to run a $10 purchase through DENIED too funny.....I don't even have to sweat it. In the case of my PayPal, i go to it 3 or 4 times a day, and i get emails when ever anything goes through so i will know with in minutes.

ECF was trying to fix the slow speed-but while doing trials on it, it went live before they were ready is the way I understand it. So threads that are longer are being closed and starting new ones (so pages load faster). They are working on it (this is what was explained in another forum anyway so I am assuming it is right info lol).

Here is a link if you want to read about it.....
