They're pretty tough. My 'daily carry' Darwin has a few scratches on the corners from hitting the concrete a few times. That's not too unusual, it is aluminum, after all. I don't mind, Darwin's no-nonsense, vaguely industrial look appeals to me; minor scratches don't bother me.

In normal use, I don't think you would ever scratch it at all, unless you carried it around in a bucket of nails.

It's a shame that people cant be taken on their word anymore.

QFT. A handshake guarantee doesn't mean jack nowadays . . .

BTW, love that blue. It looks great on the Darwin :vapor:

Yeah, scratching is something I no longer worry about because it just doesn't happen, and I've even dropped it a handful of times! The only visible wear on mine is a little fading of the anodizing where my fingertips rest while I'm vaping with it, but only that one area on the back. We've had the discussion in here before about genuine 'road wear' and I still stand by my opinion that it adds good character ;-)

My understanding L2Sk... sorry L2S, it would still confuse me. ;)

My understanding Skratch, is that the delay is due to sourcing components. I am quite sure that Brandon, Drew, and all of the other people involved are equally frustrated as those of us hoping to purchase one.

In fact, I suspect they are even more frustrated as they have to listen to people complain (not you) about not being able to buy one while attempting to get everything necessary and a steady supply of components to build them! They have to deal with both sides of the problem!

Yeah, I remember an interview just before the release of the dna that they were waiting on stuff from china.

I understand the wait, but I also understand I really really want a Darwin lol!

Nice to know the Darwin is pretty tough, I'm not rough on mods, but I work Fire/EMS; was afraid the mod wasn't 'durable' enough.

The last time Darwins were put up on the site, did they sell out immediately, or were they on there for a bit?

Today marks two years smoke free for me. I found nHaler about 3 months into my journey and Drew has been a main supplier for my vaping hobby since then. Much of my success (and spending ) is due to nHaler. Thanks for all the great products and support Drew and team. Also Big thanks to Evolv and Vaporfextion (GC) for creating the products that are used in my daily vapes. Happy vapes and continued success to you all.

Ski, this is absolutely wonderful!!! Huge Congrats, sweetie! It's absolutely amazing and noteworthy.

Drew and Nhaler have assisted you (and taken your grocery money ;)), and you have been the one to achieve this incredible milestone.

Please know tho, that on your journey, you have helped other vapers along the way. Me, in particular. If it weren't for you... (I'd be a whole lot saner, and less driven to a life in the gutter) ;)

Kudos, Ski-ster. You are my inspiration and I admire and adore you. So there. :p
