As promised.
I just got a text about the third and final test on my grandson.
He is one fine healthy baby boy with nothing wrong with him, other than he has a pap pa like me..........LOL

I want to thank everybody for their prayers and concerns.
I said all along that the hospital and Drs here did not know what they was doing.
BUT............ I did not want to take a chance they was actually doing their job right this time.
Thanks again to everyone.

Thanks Drew for allowing me to clog up your thread.

I can't think of a better way to go off topic!!! Congrats Brutha, that's fantastic news!!!

Yup that is exactly what happens when the dormant grandparent gene kicks in. My Dad was giving them cans of Pepsi when they were 2. Then the SOB would send them home. But alas I have informed him that I will remember these digressions when I am choosing his nursing home one day :)

low, great news! Enjoy the mini fellow.

I was thinking of the juice issue with it getting into the darwin and the 1st thing that came to mind is liquipel technology. If you haven't heard of it youtube it. Its amazing. It was designed for cellphones but could easily be applied to ecigs. It's a nano coating that goes on the entire electrical board of a cellphone that basically makes it waterproof. Like you can drop it in water and literally nothing happens to it. It would be nice to be able to give the darwin a bath now and again. Lol! Or vape in the shower.

Uh oh... Ski, 'Brat, Andel, and all the 'old timers' ... now I have to go find the pics...

I had to search back one year and a third ago to find this post. You can all thank me later.

Here ya go: Shower/Bathtub Vapes, D'win style!

I mentioned probably like 75 pages ago that I had found some really awesome ziplock bags that I use for my Darwin when I shower. Someone recently asked for a pic, so here it is. The inside measurement of these is about 2.85 inches wide by about 6.75 inches long. The Darwin will fit completely into the bag if the arm is closed. These bags are a real lifesaver for the rare moments I get the house to myself and get to soak in the bath.

I know! liquipel is a very cool nano particle technology, about a week ago I sent an email to them asking them to do my Darwin but I am yet to here back. It sounds like they are trying to get companies to set up there tech at the end of assembly lines so I think we will start seeing a lot of electronics that will come with it. Its about 60 bucks to get an iphone done, not too bad in my opinion. Curios to see where it goes and hope that they contact me back. Although I probably wouldnt send outmy Darwin unless I got another one first.

Yeah I looked into the technology after someone posted the brand new website sometime last year. Luckily, they're located no more than 20 minutes from me. So, the only way I would get it done when I eventually get a Darwin would be if I could watch it being done.... I'm very protective.... lol
I also find it very interesting how they are able to cover the speakers on an iPhone, should do great on the spacing next to the scroll wheel on the Darwin. And because they do not open the object being treated, I wonder if Evolv will allow that without voiding the warranty.

Well I know that the nano particles are invisible to the naked eye so people are not having warranty issues with there iphones and such, I guess it more depends on if you say something about having it done. I do not think that the space above the adj wheel would need to be covered though because that would be the only way that the liquipel could get inside to coat the electronics, the reason they cover the speaker on an iphone is because it produces sound that may lose some volume if covered. I may contact Brandon about the technology though, I hope we start seeing a lot of electronics come with this treatment, but I am realistic and realize that is a long way off.

Panks!!!!!!!!!!!

Too cute, and hi, how ARE you!! How's the beer modding going?

I am hanging in there and the beer is going great! Kind of like owning a boat though until you have EVERYTHING that you need. I am soaking more money into it so that I can move up to a more advanced process ;)

Zagg owns the patent on that, they bought the technology and they said they will send new items with the coating on there but they are unsure about how they are going to do other items people send in as the warranty voiding them when they open it... They are trying to obtain licensing from electronics companies but how is that going to happen? Its not I bet someone beats ZAGG to the punch.. If it voids any warranties or people claim ZAGG messed up there stuff could screw it over for those not looking to complain

Zagg created HZO which essentially achieves the same result but is reached in a different way. Liquipel is not exactly the same as HZO, although I admit that I do not know the slight differences. I do not know about HZO but with liquipel they do not open the device, it is placed in a vacuum chamber and all the nano particles get forced inside the device through any openings. I realize this has gotten a bit to far off topic so I will not post about it unless it somehow becomes more relevant to the Darwin.

Thats how homebrewing goes, I think a lot of it has to do with the waiting. First your doing extract brews, then partial mash until the bug hits to go full mash brews in a 3 tier system with pumps and controllers. Sounds like fun, are you going to share with us? :D

Yeah, I just moved up to all grain after only 1 partial mash that is now ready to bottle/keg so it is about tobget interesting :)

Don't you just add more hops? ;)

I suppose that works
