Actually what batch is the blue screen but no 3 clicks arm?

Do not know the exact details, and there may have been various variables, but as far as I know there were not specific "batches". Darwins (and Evolv) have been "Evolving" from day 1. The company has constantly been evaluating the product and making little tweaks and improvements based on feedback and monitoring warranty submissions. It could have been due to trying different components, parts availability, and/or other. But I do not think there are any trackable "batches" to identify. This is a complex device and some parts are replaceable and others not. While one might think "oh, I want this screen or that arm..." such is not necessarily doable. Some may involve an issue where it made sense to replace the entire guts of a device and other situations may involve just replacing a part or two. I do not think we can request this or that as easily as it may seem, there can be cost (sometimes substantial cost - I think screen swapping may be one of those cost prohibitive).

My best advice would be - enjoy your Darwin. Many of us became enthralled with Evolv technology and it is coming out in new and different forms. The Evolv Kick drop-in module is an inexpensive way to enjoy this technology in tubes and I think NHaler now carries at least a couple different devices that work extremely well with Kick. The dna released a while back and the Opus (also carried by Nhaler and difficult to get as always in high demand) is another great device with Evolv Regulated Power driving it. Above and beyond these options - scroll up and read Drew's teaser post from 2 days ago.

I'm hooked on this technology as I am convinced it is by far the most consistent vape obtainable to date. And, Evolv is obviously continuing to Evolve!

Enjoy your Darwin and check out some of the other iterations.
Happy :vapor:

Hale to all Darwinia!!!!
Its been a while since we have given any formal updates in here, so I just want to wish everyone a Happy Holiday Season and hoping everyone is enjoying the contests and recent burst of activity.

DogRocketDog (Angie my wife) finally signed up here on ECF and has been helping me out with all the things I always loved about ECF and just don't have as much time to tend to as I used to.

I also took a trip to Ohio last week...Spent around 24 hours there, which 12 or more of those hours, were spent in heated design discussions with the Brilliant Minds of Evolv Vapor, and also had a great visit with Opus Vapor...
I was so excited about the meetings which ended around 12 midnight that I drove all the way home (9 hours) and was still psyched about the new product line up.

I'm hoping to have a more detailed announcement in the next 20 days or so, but I will say that there are some VERY exciting innovations on the table that are sure to turn some heads. I will also say that we have been listening to all your comments and taking notes and these new products will reflect that.
Thanks to all my freinds here for being so patient and I hope you continue to enjoy your holidays and take time to check in and join in on our fun.
Drew

No, I do not work for Evolv. I was a pre-production prototype tester for Darwin and Kick. I posted a pre-production overview with "first impressions" of Darwin (linked in the first post of the "Vape like a Research Monkey" thread). Otherwise, I am just an enthusiastic enjoyer of Evolv's Regulated Power technology - with perhaps just a touch of CDO when it comes to research on my favored gear (CDO = ocd but with the letters in correct order). On occasion, I've been known to try to help out fellow vapers. ;)

I'm going to jump in and be bold enough to speak for all/most of us. You have been incredibly helpful on ALL occasions, 'Brat! Your knowledge and ability to communicate has been brilliant and stands out from the pack. As always, thank you... :toast:

I've got a bit of an oddball question about the Kick.

I'm looking at buying a Great Lakes Vapors "GLV-XL", which is a gigantic tube mod that takes stacked 18650s. Yeah, this thing is as big as a MagLite.

Anyway, I figured "in for a penny, in for a pound", right? So why NOT put a Kick in it?

My question for THIS thread is will the Kick work with stacked 18650s, or would that much battery pose an amperage problem to the circuitry?

As for the Kick actually fitting into this mod, I'm waiting to hear back from GLV.

Thanks in advance, folks.

The Kick is only for using on a SINGLE battery. It boosts the voltage, so it wouldn't function on a stacked pair of batts and may actually damage the Kick in the process. Also it wouldn't work in that mod, the 5v and 3.7v versions are both regulated already and damage to the Kick and/or the electronics in the mod is a possible outcome of trying

Sorry to burst your bubble on that one, mate
