So it's been a while since I've been vaping with my egoT. It's great, but there are times where I'd really, really appreciate having something that just doesn't draw attention. I know, I should be shouting from the rooftops to spread the word and not ducking out by hiding what I'm "smoking". I'm fairly confident I'm the only person with a PV in quite possibly a 100 mile radius and anything not "normal" gets picked out pretty quick. I've tried converting people but because it's newfangled they don't want to be "that guy" getting flack for using them either.

For the times I'm out at social gatherings and the like I'd really want something normal cigarette looking. It doesn't have to be a mini or a perfect analogue replica; something that resembles a cigarette from a respectable distance so the police stop almost arresting me thinking I'm doing something wrong would be amazing. I'm good to use my ego in public, it's just when alcohol and Scots combine you don't want unnecessary attention.

I am somewhat leaning towards an auto (heavens forbid, what is this guy thinking); if it's light enough to hold in my mouth and if I don't need to be pressing a button then it would have a use beyond pretending to be a smoker when I feel I need to avoid "that conversation". I can't hands-free my ego and even an auto wouldn't be hands-free without some discomfort.

What are my options for PVs that could help out that I could get and maintain in the UK. I haven't seen much other than the 510 (which I have in black unfortunately, smooth thinking but it was my first PV). The choice seems so much more limited for the UK and I'm weary of massive overpricing on real cig replicas.

Do 510's come in autos? I'm thinking a 510-T auto but I'm massively open to suggestions! Even cartos and I never thought I'd say that.

Automatic batteries can lead to death if you aren't careful with your juice. If this is what you really are after, I recommend a 2 piece unit like the vapor4life kr808d-1's. Their prefilled cartomizers are good also.

Yes, the 510 does come in automatic. I don't know of any vendors in your location to point to them. I'm sure someone with more knowledge will chime in.

I have a 510 for when I go to the gym or shopping or something like that. I like it because I can use the same cartos as the ego, just not LR cartos. You get a good vape with it. I have manual batteries. I have to be honest, I don't use it that much. I don't like to play around with batteries or look around for extras before I go out. It just annoys me to worry about cartos and batteries. But it's OK sometimes.

Well, except for two are black and one is brown, I have normally shaped batteries and some black cartos for those kind of times.
Except for trying the brown one, I've never use them. But they are 510s and should work well for what they are.
The two black are manual and the brown is auto. As I said, I tried the auto and still find it annoying.

Not doing much today so maybe I'll charge the black ones and see if they work!!

Probably a standard 510, with cartos. If you can buy mega 510 batteries, 280 mAh, they're going to be better for run time, about the same form factor as a 100mm cig.

Otherwise, if you can find KR808D-1 in the UK, they provide higher voltage and generally larger batteries while still being cig-like, though you would then have incompatible connector threads.

One other option, though again it would put you into the street-only-kit scenario, is something like the TW Tekk super mini: TECC White Super (10cm) Electronic Cigarette Starter Kit

Yeah I'm definately not looking for it to be my main PV. Only for "going out". My ego does what I need it to, it just draws attention and sometimes that can be kinda risky.

I saw those but they're USA based. I don't want to think about the shipping fees, then having to use their cartos too with shipping every time. It's only viable if I can buy the unit then use similar cartos or a converter to use cartos I can buy from the UK. I don't think cartos last that long do they? I have no experience with cartos or the threading they use on the volt/bloog styles.

I believe Liberty Flights has 510's. You can use the boge cartomizers on both your ego and 510. That's all I use. You can pick up a little pcc for about $20. They have 510-T's but I'm not really familiar with them.

I believe the Volt is a KR808. I know the Bloog is.

Never tried either but I have tried KR808's. I happen to like the 510 a little better but not a deal breaker.

I'm not a fan of the XL KR808 or 510's. My mom has one and it's sort of silly looking it's so long (she also uses XL cartos with it). She looks like Cruella de Vil.

Lol, if you really must have a cig lookalike - good price on this super-mini kit from a good UK seller (his juices are pretty good as well -

2 x Super Mini E-Cigs - Detailed item view - FreedomVape (UK)

I think it's a DSE103

haha, that's awesome pricing. I'll definately be considering it. Wont feel like I wasted a lot trying it if it fails miserably. I don't have the highest hopes ever for a cig replica but I know I'd feel safer with one sometimes.

You may as well get a decent mini that is compatible w/ Ego

Joye 510 manual

If you get it in white and use tan Boge standard resistance cartomizers, it will look like a cig - just slightly fatter (9mm). I've seen the tan Boges at NiteLiteVapor - not a lot of tans around

What Joye 510 cannot use is the Ego's charger nor any LR (low resistance) attachments - any of those can damage the slim battery

Nice PCC for 510 at NoSMokeVA.com (standard size 510 batteries).

Oh you are UK? Check Liberty-Flights.co.uk for manual Joye-brand 510 and maybe they can order you the tan Boge standard resistance cartos

Thanks. I'm slightly limited because I'm in the Uk. There's less options out there.

I still use my 510 atties on my egoT for dripping because I hated the battery life on the 510s but the atties were nice for dripping.

I still have the charger and two spare black manual 510s so I'm looking around for white batteries and tan carts + atties/cartos as I type.

I'm partial to 2 models, and like them each for a little different reasons.
I vape exclusively "cig sized" and use both KR808D-1's and 510's
They both have specific attributes but in short, (and this is company specific) the battery life seems better on the 808D-1 and the cartomizers are a little better on a 510 and hold a slight bit more juice, (but to me, a shade harsher).

Either works dependably well and with the right cartomizer are bulletproof.
I usually have 4 of each on hand and never have run down more than 3 in one day, and have gone as many as 3 days before doing a recharge/refill to continue on.
Pig.

Leftfield, we aren't that limited in the UK :D

510 auto kit here (can't find one with tan cartridges -yet :D )

TT510A Starter Kit - Quartz white - Automatic - Ok Smokey - Electronic Cigarettes & Accessories
I kinda meant more that buying from US vendors is less viable because of the shipping but it is an option. They have more vendors or maybe I just don't know that many for the UK. Yeah I'm finding it's hard to find tan carts but I'm not too fussed about the mouthpiece. I can cover that with my hand or invest in tan cartos.

I just found out there's LR 510s I can use on my ego to drip with. Searching for a cig imitation has been a worthwhile venture already. TW is the only vendor I've seen so far with auto 510 white batteries but but I've heard so much bad press about autos I'm a little eh about buying one.

All white battery with a red LED should be enough I think for most people not to look twice.

I too use the eGo (my first and only PV right now) and sometimes it just isn't doing it for me. I find myself wanting a 'real cig' feel between my fingers from time to time and something I can use without always having to push a button. After quite a bit of review reading and much advice I have received lately, I have decided to buy the Maxx Fusion from Bloog. Granted, the BMF is expensive ($100 USD for the Ultimate Starter Kit), but in that kit you get 2 78mm auto batteries, 5 pre-filled cartos, a USB charger, a wall charger, a car charger, a PCC, a passthrough, and some carrying cases. IMO well worth the cost for all of that. Topped with the great reviews I have read and watched, it just seems like what I am looking for. I am holding off on buying it for a few weeks to see if I end up getting it as a birthday present, so I have no personal experiences with this model yet to give an opinion.

There are a lot of great KR8 type PV's on the market and this is the place to get other opinions on all of them, but I think I am going to give the BMF a try.

I've been giving it thought but compatability is sort of putting me off.

Does anyone know if these Electronic Cigarette - Cartomizers - KR808D-1 Cartomizer will be compatible with bloog type batteries? Or these even http://www.liberty-flights.co.uk/product.asp?id=90 I've been stuck on 510 types for so long now I'm clueless about these things. I'm really not sure what cartos can go on what and where I can get them without international shipping.

It also seems more expensive to go down the carto route because you have to replace them more often. I only say that because I still have a 510 atomizer I've had for 7 months now and I've used it almost every day and it's still good. Having to replace cartos often seems a big price jump.
