I know it's kind of a silly request, but I like the LED's.

I like the design of the stock batteries. I like the way the battery lights up at the tip, and slowly fades out when you've finished drawing on it.

I know our current batteries are unreliable and expensive. And I'm telling you, if someone makes a Prodigy/Screwdriver/whatever rechargeable battery casing with an LED on the tip like my current e-cig batteries, that would be the tipping point for me to buy one.

It's a silly thing, and very much style over substance, but I don't think I'm the only one who feels that way.

I hate the LED's... The LAST thing an e-smoker needs on his device in 2009 is a BRIGHT flashlight on the end of his device. I mean come on, we are trying to attract less attention not more at this point in time... Why do we need the flashlight tip?!

Wait, why are we trying to attract less attention? They're not illegal, and the more people get used to them and start to understand them, the less problems we'll have. I'm gonna put one of those rotating, multi-colored dance lights people get for their bedrooms... if I can find one small enough.:pervy:

The LED on my pass through MOD is useful. Placed for my view. If it's lit and I get no heat, then the atty is suspect, if it doesn't light then the USB battery is suspect. I have a subdued yellow LED that you don't know is even there unless it's lit and you look right at it.

For a standard e-cig I would just as soon not have it, since it's meant for others to see and some are difficult for the user to see at all.

I like the led on the 510 it flashes when bat is low - so I know to switch it in the pcc

I'm looking for a black battery with green led for the 510 if anyone can find one in stock. Thanks

I've only seen the green LED with a white battery. I suppose you could paint it, but that's up to you. I've also seen black with blue, red, purple and no LED. I've seen SS with blue or purple, copper with "blacklight"(I'm guessing that's purple) or no LED, and white with blue, red, or green LED's. There are a few other battery colors at e-smokeytreats that (I believe) all have blue LED's. That's all I can think of right now. If you're looking for any of these, lemme know and I'll try to find the link.

Since style is more important to you than performance, why waste your money on a better PV?

My definition of "better" would be style and performance.

I've got a home-built USB passthrough that works very well, is very sturdy and has . . . wait for it . . . a fade in/fade out LED. Didn't impact the performance, works incredibly well.

It wouldn't be impossible to add one of these to a Prodigy/SD/GG type device. In fact, all you'd need to do is change the end in which the batteries are inserted - from the bottom end to the atomizer end - to allow for an LED to be placed on the Prodigy, for example.

They're working on a V2 for the Prodigy. Let's see what they do.

Must these two things be mutually exclusive then?

As far as size, yes, if you must have a cigarette size device. But an LED can be provided with any PV, it's just a matter of where you put it. The LV/ZiMoshi use to have an LED that lit up when you pushed the button. I think they still make it that way.

Honestly I think LED's are just a matter of preference. Some people like them some don't. It's just up to your preference. Also for some the LED is more then likely not used to attract attention. At least my 510 has never garnered any attention because of it's blue or purple color. It's more of like a Hey you need to change your battery type of thing. I know I prefer the LED on my 510's mainly because of the fact that I get a strong vapor out of it until the batter just quits out of nowhere. At least the one's with the LED give me an idea before it's totally drained. With my batt that doesn't have the LED I just don't know until it's to late. For some it's style for others it's functionality but to say that it is just an attention getter to some is an unfair assumption.

I vape everywhere, mall walmart, starbucks. at CBS waiting to see the Bill Maher show so-

if I'm blowing out vapor I want anyone walking up to me to be able to be shown quicklt that I'm not smoking a real cig, so I figure a led that is not red is the fastest way to do so, and green is so far from red it dosen't look like anything burning.

I found the black/green at inovaper, but there sold out- I should wait to Xhale
