I use my e-cig at work all the time and no-one is that bothered, luckily I don't have to work with anyone who complains just for the sake of it.
Propylene Glycol is used, as we all know, in many fog/smoke machines. I don't think I know anyone who hasn't come in contact with one of these things at a gig/play/show or whatever and no-one complains about those. The volume of fog/smoke produced is immense as well, and while I'm sure I've heard that it does have an adverse effect in large volumes inhaled over time, I don't think my e-cig compares - and it's better than inhaling 'dry ice'.
I just love the fact that no-one can actually legally make you stop using an e-cig in a public - it's always at the owner's discretion. Good on you Emperor! There will always be people who complain for the sake of complaining.
