yep. This thread moves so fast. Lots of repetition is good though.
I agree. I don't like the fact these just switched over. If I didn't have so many batteries, I'd order more leds from Rob before he ran out but lithium ion has a shelf life of a couple of years whether you use them or not and about a year if you do use it. Unlike other rechargeable batteries the verdict is still out on whether freezing them will prolong their life or not.

The whole reason I wanted the led is because I wanted to design my own wooden pipe bowl that would slip over the battery and have a light diffuser in the bowl. The stealths made that useless and the tiny pinhole wasn't enough to shine in the diffuser. But that problem may be solved in the i-go leds.

And thanks to Alibaba, I tracked the pipe from VaporGirl to a manufacturer and it appears that they do use disposable cartomizers, although they fail to mention threading so it's probably proprietary. They claim they hold 2 mls though but there's no mention of ohms or horizontal vs vertical. But they are great looking pipes.

I received my IGO kit from tropicalvapors on Monday. I've used it a few days now and it works great. I'm pretty sure its the same as an echo but I have limited experience in this, so I'll leave that up to the experts to debate. It seems like a great kit with a great price. The shipping was fast and FREE and the customer service is excellent. I emailed some questions about the kit and a guy named Tom quickly replied with answers. He even checked in after I received the kit to make sure I was happy with my purchase. So far the battery life is exceptional. I'm waiting to get some clearomizers so I can see just how great this kit can be. The next challenge will be to see how well these hold up to heavy vaping and charging because they are about to be used a lot.

Echo/iGo update...I used the bats at work tonight and if there's a difference between these and the Echos, I cannot tell one iota! Carts the same...same excellent battery with consistent hits. While I haven't used the carts that came with the kit, I did use my Echo single coils that I use on the Echo. I'm a happy camper! Payday's tomorrow...am hopin' there'll be enough left over to get another one of these excellent deals!

Update -- ordered the 808 Clearos from SmokeTek and really really love the ability to fill almost instantly without messing with a syringe, and being able to see how much liquid I've got left. There is a slight difference in the vape - not as warm as with the cartos, but really, nothing to quibble about for me. Now, if I can clean these babies as easily as others have said, I am a convert.

Alittle update on the "military" chrome 1300mah batteries from The Vapor girl sells (808 thread). Works great, love it. I like the fact that it is kind of a stealth battery but has a tiny blue light on the side that lets u see when your hitting on it. Now as far as it being 5v, im not sure but it wonderful on my CV clearos. I ordered several chrome cartos to match it as well. So using it for 3 days now, I do recommend it for u echo users like myself.

Update, Part Deux.
So today, second day with the 808 clearo, I refill the whole thing, just as I did yesterday. (I used almost all of the clearo yesterday; there was only a bit left at the bottom).

I didn't overfill or get anything through the middle. Set it down for a second. Look over, and it's draining out the bottom!! A *lot*!!! I left it there, moving it every now and then, just to see what would happen. Over the next hour or so, a good quarter of it drained out.

WTF?

Do I need to clean it after every use? Can anyone think of something I may have done wrong?

Is the driptip screwed in all the way and making contact with the silicone cap?

Tx, yes, it's screwed in all the way but there's a gap between the bottom of the black drip tip and the top of the white plastic cap. I don't know if there was a gap yesterday. If it shouldn't be there, how do I close the gap?

And regardless, would that gap be something that would make it drain out the bottom? I literally filled it and set it upright on a napkin. There was no lying-down, upside down or anything.

ETA - just opened up a brand-new identical clearo and there is no gap. So it obviously shouldn't be there and I have no idea how it happened.

Received an Echo 650 for Father's Day. Love it. Detected some off-taste initially in my favorite juice, but it seems to have resolved itself. Maybe it was just my taster. The soft, flexible tip bothers me some. With my Kuwako on, I can't clench it comfortably between my teeth as I usually do a pipe. Is there a simple solution for this? A hard tip available? Thank you to all the contributers to this thread who helped me make an informed decision. Got it from Cropduster. As other have noted, Tony is great. I made a typical newby mistake on my order, and he got back with me within a couple of hours -- clarifying matters. I was actually exchanging email with him at 1am. Talk about service. :)

Tony is great! Tx will have the answer there too. He helped me with hard 801 whistle tips but I can't remember where I got them. I remember the shipping was free so I ordered a 5 pack of 2.5 ohm steel kr8s because it was only a couple of bucks for the tips. There's lot's of places (like Cropduster) for wide holed 801 tips. They are good to have but the whistle tips are better for the kuwako. I boil and widen the holes with a screwdriver shaft and put a nice bend in them.

Found it. http://www.shop.wordupecig.com/Ecig-Cartridges-All-Ecig-Cartridges.htm
Select "dse 801 hard tip" from the drop down box. The cartridges come in two parts on the 801s. Take the hard tip out of the filler part and you're good.

Kren, make sure you don't fill these all the way up to the top fill line. Fill to the one just below it. When you pull up on the silicone tip as tx described, use the screw on tip to push it back in place. That way you can be assured there isn't a gap. Once there is fluid in there, you may have to wait for it to dry/drain completely before refilling again. It's just the nature of these things. Once a drip starts....it has a tendency to pull more liquid with it.

It also helps....as long as you are pulling up on the rubber....to pull it all the way out and take that bent pin and fluff up the wicks sticking out each side. Pulling the rubber all the way out is needed to dry burn them clean anyway. It's easier than it sounds.

Mine will leak if the driptip is cross-threaded. The tactile response is that it is screwed down tight but then the "bleeding" starts. Out of habit now, I start to turn the driptip as if screwing it down before it actually touches the plastic and keep turning and pressing down gently until it actually is tight. The other thing I do that makes it drip is getting juice down the pipe which is easy to do with a dropper. If I'm not getting the right amount of vapor from a freshly filled clearo I take it off the batt and blow through the driptip and listen for it to stop gurgling and popping, clean it off and then it's okay.
