Tony is great! Tx will have the answer there too. He helped me with hard 801 whistle tips but I can't remember where I got them. I remember the shipping was free so I ordered a 5 pack of 2.5 ohm steel kr8s because it was only a couple of bucks for the tips. There's lot's of places (like Cropduster) for wide holed 801 tips. They are good to have but the whistle tips are better for the kuwako. I boil and widen the holes with a screwdriver shaft and put a nice bend in them.

Found it. http://www.shop.wordupecig.com/Ecig-Cartridges-All-Ecig-Cartridges.htm[/U
Select "dse 801 hard tip" from the drop down box. The cartridges come in two parts on the 801s. Take the hard tip out of the filler part and you're good.

Thanks Charlz. That's great.

I haven't read through the whole thread so if any of this has been answered, I appoligize.

Does anybody have the non-stealth 650mAh in stock. Must have blue LED that lights up when puffed. I'd prefer stainless, but they all have red LEDs, right? I really like the "bling" factor that a LED lit ecig has. I know it's silly, but that's what I like and miss it on my eGo Twists.

I don't even need a new ecig, I have 2 eGo Twists, 3 regular eGos of various sizes, a Lavatube mini, and 2 SI Volt 808 stick style. And I've only been vaping for a month. After playing around with the 808 again, I got the urge to have an automatic. There is just something about an auto I like, but it seems most experianced vapers froun on autos. I have a store credit with Smokless Image, so I did order a Volt X2 650mAh automatic, so that should be fun to play with. I'm annoyed that both that and the Echo are 808 thread, I'd prefer to keep everything 510. Doesn't look like there is much in the way of larger automatic 510's are there?

On that note, do any of the 510 adaptors worth with the Echo? I have an 808-510 adaptor but it won't work with my Volt automatic stick. It works fine with the Volt manual stick. I thought it was because there were no air chanels on the 808 side, so I dremmeled some slots, but still no go.

Also, is there a lanyard that fits the Echo, similer to the ones I have on my eGo, that attach underneath the cone?

I can answer the lanyard question. I haven't found one. I have been told that the eGo lanyard can be modified but I haven't tried that. Echo with L.E.D. Echo 1300mAh auto battery I have bought many things from SmokTek, reasonable prices, fast shipping, good customer service Oops, you said 650 sorry, this is the 1300.

Sorry, the led echo seems to be no more. The 1300s left at smoktek seem to be it. A 1300 chrome battery with a red led is very cool.
You could go for the auto igo. IGO Electronic Cigarette Kit - Complete - from VFast 900 mah isn't that big but it's the kit only right now for batteries AFAIK.

If you want a blue LED you need to get a black Echo. Mtn Vapor appears to have them. 650 ECHO auto Battery
The only lanyard I've found for the echo is the one with leather pouch attached.
Yes the 808 to 510 adapter I have work if you choose to use one.
LR cartos below about 2.2 ohms won't work with them though.

I missed your part about the adapter. The problem is airflow, you are correct there. With the new drip protected posts being solid, you need that hardware part to have a slot in the center post. Take a look at your 808 cartos. There is a slot for airflow in the center post. Now take a look at the adapter center post that connects to the 808 battery. No slot. They were made for 901s and always worked with auto 808s because the battery post had a hole in the middle for airflow. Now that the post is solid, there is no flow. Despite "sealed" posts being on the market for nearly a year now, no one has bothered to make an adapter for them.

Take a look at your adapter. Is the 510 side slotted? If it is, you can take out the center post in the adapter and reverse it. Take care not to pull out the rubber that separates the center post from the threads. It's very hard to get back in. If neither side is slotted, dremmel one.

Sorry for the wordy explanation.

I don't either. I made such a big deal about it awhile back but now I don't use 510 stuff on my echo. And I've lost interest in my 901 attys.

Must Celestia positioning thing as I also lost interest in the 901 atties that had been at the top of my list for so long. :)

I've seen them at several different vendors. I think the sales people just feed the vendors a line and it gets passed on to us. A lot of other vendors like to act like they are the designers and I'm sure some do give input and can get minor changes like longer or shorter wick if they buy enough of them. Some vendors and I won't mention names are very famous for their hype and it seems to work. lol They manage to get me caught up in it sometimes as well. lol

You talking about vendors that are bringing us the most revolutionary hardware that will end all our troubles while at the same time teasing us with some vague coming soon marketing project that will revolutionize the vaping world? Hmmm....I can't imagine who you'd mean.
