I hate being right sometimes. I did bet we'd see them in cone style first. Based on the reviews of the T0, which is the bottom coil version of the T2, I'll probably stay away for now. For those that are lost....T2 and T0 are Kanger 510. The T3 is cone threaded 808 and is the first I'm hearing about it. I do have that volt 650 collecting dust....somewhere....

...cone threaded...

Ah, thanks for the termonology. I take it that it wouldn't screw down to a standard 808 connection with a flat surface around it.

Over at the SmokelessImage thread on the matter, my querry went ignored. ...maybe they were too busy partying.

EDIT: Maybe an 808 to 808 cone thread adaptor will materialze.

Ignoring good questions is a sure sign that a formerly good thread has turned into a chat room of yapping jack offs ;)

Perhaps a derth of technical understanding as well...led by a merchandising/marketing-centric company. Part A screws onto Part B...what else is there to know?

I also visited another thread with a very straight forward question regarding fact. The possible answers were, Yes, No and perhaps some shades of grey in between. I was first told that I should be asking something other than what I asked. In reply, I addressed the 'something other' and went on to expand upon my original question a little bit as it was apparent that my simple question was not understood.

I then got a response that on the one hand I was talking about A) what the first respondent had brought up and B) what I originally asked and was essentially mixing apples and oranges. I had to point out that is wasn't I that brought apples into the question, but merely commented on another's attempt to turn my orange into an apple.

A couple of doses of religion were metered out, apparetly for my benefit, though I had indicated no religious preference on any matters. Somewhere in a lecture of religion a possible answer of 'neglegible' to my query came forth. I posted a thanks for one possible answer to my query and that I would leave them to their theology and unsubscribed to the thread. I did recieve an offer of appology via PM and did accept.

...lots of enclaves around this Tower of Babble. Yesterday was a day.

Those were the extremes of yesterday. ...a complete ignoring of a query, even though at least one represntative of the company was activly posting. In the other, seems as if crusades were underway and I was suspect unless and until I declared where my loyalty lay.

I suspect if I asked around in the vicinity of places I more often frequent something like 'Is cotton absorbent?,' I'd get some pretty direct answers and perhaps a little detail on variations.

If an 808 to cone adapter were invented it could be used on 510 gear that only used cone threads as well. Seems there could be a market for that. The 510 camp is usually more than willing to sway more 808 users to the other side.

I say that because someone discovered that the t2 (which only uses cone threads and not a 510 post thread) can be used on the volt x2. It's a super airy draw but once again, those well placed carb holes are easily covered to adjust the draw. It also takes some doing to get it to screw down tight. I have hated the post on the x2. It has too much give and need to be adjusted EVERY time hardware is switched. But this time, it worked to my advantage.

Yep the SI Volties are an interesting group. They are loyal to the core for sure. They were all completely against ego type fat bats until they came out with the X2 and now they are just the opposite. They think SI invented them and same with clearomizers. It is just funny to listen in once in a while as I have over the last year or so.

I've done a little business with them, some time past. At present, I doubt I'd go out of my way to do so again. The products I've used from them did seem good.

I have as well and their CS is very good. It is just the groupie mentality that develops with the different suppliers that interests me. There are suppliers I like better than others and don't mind spending a little more for an item occasionaly but to limit myself to one supplier for everything is just strange to me.

I purchased an 808 extender from Good Prophets, but it doesn't work on my Echo batteries. I bought it for an altoids mod, so I can use the "skirted" clearos and it works fine for that. I bought a bunch of the skirted (cone) clearos at a good price and wanted to use them on my altoids tin.

Why won't it work with the Echo battery?

txtumbleweed, what are those two vapes in the middle on your avatar? I've never seen anything quite like that, very cool...

Those are Lewis Gentry wood mods. One is a 14650 and the other an Indulgence.
Here is a better picture of the Indulgence.
