One of my batteries I think is a 650 mah has a blue light and the other, longer battery, (a 900 mah?) has a red light. Please see my response to StartEndLife for more info. I am enjoying my Echo 808 Chrome Auto....and now I have several links to follow to see where I can but proper hardware for it. Thank you very much!

The longer one is most likely a 1300. The 650 and 1300 are the most common sizes of the echo.

I got 8of the colored mouthpieces. They feel a little cheap and mine tend to let juice into my mouth. Fortunately when I left town on vacation I put the original black drip tips back on.

Thanks for the heads up. I prefer the whistle tips but they looked to me like they were a different material than the black ones. Happy I held off. Two black ones are fine for now as I can swap them I guess. Now did you get them from SmokTek? I can tell you the ones that come on his ce4 aren't cheap and don't build up alot of condensation. Any more than the round ones do. I do take time to blow out every once in awhile.

I ordered some black ones and I'll let you know if they are the same as the ones for the echo clearo.

I wound my first wick tonight. It is for use in the 808 Echo Crystal Vision. I borrowed a coil from the sring of 9 I got from nHaler and rewound it around two lenghts of cotton string. I had boiled the string a little bit before working on it. I created a method for getting the coils close and tight. I'll try to document that with photos next I create one. I'm currently vaping at about 7 Watts...3.4 Ohms at 4.9 Volts. There 'might' be some slightly off taste. I'll boil more exteinsively on the next. In any event, it tastes pretty much like it should.

I removed another long silica wick and coil from one of the Echo cartos and torched it. It turned nicely white. While I've reinstalled it, I haven't vaped it yet.

Has anyone tried to torch or otherwise freshen up gause/cotton wicks with coils? Can it be done?

Cotton burns. Any natural fiber will burn. Man made fibers melt. Glass is the only thing that you can torch or dry burn.

The cotton works as long as it stays wet. But the cotton is so soft, it's easy to push it through a coil without taking it apart and it's cheap and plentiful so there's no need to try and save and reuse it.
I'm working on it for ce2s and ce4s but haven't used it in echomizers yet because I can't monitor if it's moist or not.

edit:I guess fiberglass, silica and ceramic are technically man made but you know what I mean.

additional edit: you also need to be careful cleaning the gunk off a naked coil. I've noticed they pop easier then if they have wick inside. Possibly due to heat dispersion of the wick but that's a guess.
