In checking the first 10 sites that came up in a "VGO Cartomizer" Google search, it seems both standard KR808 type cartos and IGO threaded cartos came up.

How about this...

510 - Standard Connector type with Female at the battery and male at the carto/atty
808 - Standard Connector, a little larger bore than 510, male at the battery, female at the carto/atty
EGO - Larger diamater 510 system two sets of threads - typically use 'fat batt' type batteries, may use Cones, AND
EGO - sometimes used genericly for fat batt type e-cigs regardless of threading
Echo - Larger diameter with a single set of standard 808 threads
VGO - Standard 808 threading or
VGO/IGO/iTurbo - Larger diameter 808 with two sets of threads, may use cones

I'd sure like to see vendors mention thread type by number and other on the cartos they list.

I believe different vendors call them whatever they want.

I just exchanged emails with Dennis @ Mtvapor. He has updated the website to reflect having a new shipment of V1-style Echos. Not stealth but regulated and sealed.

Tony @cropduster said that Echos are getting difficult to find and that some major things are happening at Hangsen that are not good.

That all makes sense, Lulu. We obviously felt those changes with the decline and return of both the batteries and echomizers. Hopefully this thread and our willingness to be vocal has had an impact with the vendors and manufacturers. I've seen threads where folks are perfectly willing to go down with the ship in their stubborness to take an objective look at their PV of choice. It makes it hard to tell sometimes who is a sincere user/enthusiast and a shill.

I do like the one stealth I have but get annoyed that getting a speck of dust or moisture in the airhole can ruin it for a day or so. I've even had it go down for the night from accidentally covering the hole as I went from a frosty, condensation covered glass. I do enjoy the initial burst of energy it has off the charger vs the regulated led version. In the back of my mind, I've wondered if they moved the airflow off to the side to see if they could make room for advancements like a passthrough or variable voltage...

I still wish they would make an 2.5 ohm echomizer. Echomizers are the easiest thing in the world to mod but for those that don't want to, I'd love for you to enjoy one.

I don't think it would do much good. 510 has already won the war. We will have to be happy with what we have and the occasional new products that come up. Kanger is making a replaceable coil ego type carto called a T2 and they may very well come out with one for 808. That would be good.

These are the first replaceable coil 510s I've enjoyed. I'm drooling at the bit for them to come out with a version I can put on my echos. I'm willing to bet though that a cone version will be the first 808 style we see.

I just posted this in the 808 clearomizer thread... "Seems there is less throwing crap on the wall and seeing what sticks and more research into making sure it performs well but the wait gets annoying sometimes."

I know we'll get there........

Seems like every other "fat Bat" style other than the Echo has constant changes. At first this seemed to show lack of quality, or did not meet expectations. But kinda seems like the vapors want this constant change. Looking to me as though new isn't new enough, and great isn't good enough. I have my original Echos, and they rock like my newest Echos. Total satisfaction for a guy that loves staying home, rather than window shoping.

I guess it has become more of a hobby than just a vaping experience for me. I've got to try all the newest and latest gadgets and most of them come with 510 or ego connections. My Echo provides as good a vape as any of them though and I still use it everyday with my Kuwako.

I lve my Echo's but also love the Amp from Vapor Nine and the Volt From Smokeless Image, both are 808.

I'm pretty sure I just borked 2 clearos when the o-ring got dislodged from under the top chrome ring. Yes??????

The silver ring comes off. Some easier than others. Grab the shell firmly and pinch the edge of the silver ring in a pair of needlenose and wiggle/tug. You may need to regrip in a different spot. Nothing ventured nothing gained. I've tried other various methods of getting that o-ring tucked back underneath and all of them have resulted in my clearo being "borked".

If you try and succeed you can tuck in back on and press it back in place.

As light as you can while still getting it off. It's a knack thing. Figure that it's a wounded soldier anyway hes going to be a trooper and take on for the team.

I've dented the inside threads on a few but as long as the two o rings have been there and I can screw the tip on, haven't had issues.

Talk about "taking one for the team". I have 1 exceptionally mauled clearo that I would use only as a last, last, last resort but it still stands battered but unbowed. Now I know how to do that little repair I can probably do it again but with much less cursing and damage to the clearo. One new thing I learned: if the clearo is going to sit about for a while (like several days) after cleaning be absoutely sure that when you are ready to reuse it put some nicjuice around the bottom of the drip tip.

Hi All,

I just had surgery to replace my pacemaker/defibrillator on the 7th. I brought my Echo along with me as I found no reason not to as any surgery makes most anyone a bit nervous. It was a success as both doctors, nurses and admission personnel were very interested in its function. I received a positive nod from everyone after explaining its benefits. Admittedly, in the patient waiting room there were a few who thought I was actually "smoking", but after I explained about my Echo many became quite enthusiastic over it.

It's nice to see that with a few words folks accept it as a "smart move". Virtually all the doctors and nurses needed very brief explanations to realize it was an overall benefit to me and others. Apparently Harm Reduction is nothing new to these folks.

Well, the surgery was successful and I have an additional 9 years before I'll need a replacement gadget. I'm also sure that several of the folks I spoke with will be getting Echos of their own very soon.

Great news all around Docliv glad it was a success. I'm glad they let you vape in there that had to make the experince bearable. I spent 14 days in IR with my brother last year and I vaped all the time I was there. All the nurses knew it and never said anything.
