Make sure it is pushed in all the way. If you use the 801 whistle tips you can boil them and then bend them.

True. It's easy to think the battery is pushed in all the way when actually it is not. Give the battery a good push, twist, and a jiggle. Hey Tex, where are you getting the 801 whistle tips?

Hey JJ, I get them at wordup for 2.95 for five with free shipping . Order DSE 801 hardtip cartridge and then just pull the tip off the cart.

Called Janty a few times today without response, but an email to them was replied to very quickly and it seems it was shipped yesterday, just no email confirmation. Should be here Monday, but I'll stalk the mailman in the morning anyway :)

I didn't even know this thing existed until I stumbled across a post on the forum. I still have a few ego batteries from when I started vaping and have been wanting to re-visit a pipe type set up without the cost... I had a Jazz Cartopipe before, but it was in the pre-dual coil era and the little batteries and 'standard' resistance just weren't kicking it for me so I sold it on the classies, regretted it lately as it was a beautiful pipe.

I also ordered one of the Liberty Flights auto batts as I don't have any Ego auto's so I'm looking forward to getting it.. the Kuwako is such a simple idea, although I can understand people querying the point of it, but I really enjoyed the feel of my cartopipe, perhaps even more than the performance, so I'm hopeful it will fulfill my craving :)

Any updates on a cartomizer friendly pipe vape?

I love the epipemods juices. For the most carto friendly I would get Sweet Georgia Peach and Long Bottom leaf. They are thick but work great in my cartos. Stay away from Oak Barrel Cider and even Grandpas Cough Syrup, although Grandpas does work. Oak Barrel does not.

I thought I saw Jimmy say he ordered the Sweet Georgia Peach, what did you think Jimmy. It is my favorite juice right now.

Indeed I did receive some Sweet Georgia Peach in early March. I was holding off on reporting because A) taste is subjective, and B) some liquids need steeping. To me it tasted like peach candy. Not much tobacco flavor, which disappointed me a bit. So, I'm letting it steep, hoping it will come to life later. Others might love it, and I may also after some steeping.

Might make a good mixer. I almost ordered some of the long bottom leaf but glanced over at my juice supply. Think I'm going to let it dwindle down a little. So many pipe type vapes. I think I need to spend a day or so vaping something else too. I'm starting not to appreciate them.

Taste is subjective or perhaps it is inconsistent. I actually made a big order there for a pipe and juice and other stuff and when I opened the package the SGP was just thrown in. I hate peach for the most part. I tried it anyway, free after all and found it to be great. Only slight hint of peach and nice rich tobacco. That sounds so opposite of your experience it makes me wonder.... Either way, ya, it has become one of my favorites and a mainstay for me. LBL is also awesome. But like you said, taste is subjective and to each their own. Its quite a quest finding that perfect arsenal of juice lol.

I wonder too. A while back I ordered another round of a very popular liquid from a very popular vendor. It tasted nothing like the previous round. I honestly think mistakes were made. But, it is the nature of a young industry. I'll take the good with the bad if it keeps me off analogs.

Charlz makes a good point about giving certain flavors a rest. Some people find one good flavor and that's all they need. Personally, I have to mix it up. And even the best flavors can get boring. Take a break for a while and they taste good again.

I would like to hear some opinions about steeping. In my experience, if it tastes like crap today, it will taste like crap in 6 months. If it tastes good but weak today, it will taste better/stronger after a few weeks.

But sometimes we don't have the luxury of waiting a few weeks. Has anyone tried any of the accelerated steeping methods?

Thanks, JJ

LOL, thats why I said perfect "arsenal" of juice and not just fav juice. I switch it up a lot also. As far as Tobacco flavors epipemods has had my favorites but I roll with all sorts of different stuff.

Not sure about steeping, but I can say I got the Volcano Tobacco, the non Full Flavor version that is much lighter in color. I hated it. It was pure evil and totally yuck. I had bought a big bottle. Regardless it went in my box in the closet and stayed there. One day I saw it and thought what a big waste it was so I tried it again. Holy cow, not at all what I remembered. I actually enjoyed it. That bottle is now empty. Not sure I will buy again but it wasnt bad at all. Was it steeping? IDK.

That inspired me to try my Backwoods Brew Bacco and a couple other tobaccos I bought from them. They had a perfume type taste to me. I now had these "steeping" for months. I shook them up nice and tried again, yuck, exactly how I remembered. Still gross. Gave those away lol. So to me there seems to be no explanation, rhyme or reason.

As far as giving juices a break I agree completely. My SGP seemed to have lost its peach flavor completely. Like none. I switched to Babas Bounty for the day and the next morning went back to SGP. Perfection! In just one afternoon I managed to get my taste back. I think sometimes it just takes a few hours of something else to fix my taste problem.

I have an ionizing light. It was a gift. Basically it is a light inside of one of those salt rocks. It gets slightly warm to the touch. Whenever I get new juice or make a new blend I put it in a brown bottle and set it on top for a while. Since liquid changes density at different temperatures, it is slowly mixing itself and steeping the flavors without needing to shake the bottle. It works very well.

Steeping does something for me for sure, 1st with all the fruity juices from Vapor Renu, they smell like burnt sugar at first, but after a week of steeping that smell is totally gone and taste is improved. And I have no idea why. Then I have the vapenstein london pipe blend, that was super strong and harsh at first, I thought it was good, but could not vape it for very long. Now, a month later its smoother and has alot more body with highs and lows.

Just an update on the ego auto from VG. It didn't work out so good. It was a little flacky from the beginning but started to work pretty good for a few charges and then it stated acting up. It isn't sealed and I think juice got in it from using the e Turbos with it. So my experiment with ego autos is over for now anyways. I think JJ got some from LF and will wait and see if they work out. If anyone comes across a sealed ego auto that works good let me know.

No that wasn't me. I haven't ordered any eGo autos. Still waiting to hear a glowing review. Plus I've settled into a usable routine with manuals. Thanks for the update Tex.

I didn't see cignot there actually, they donated but maybe i just missed their booth. I didn't find out anything promising, and nothing we didn't know. If i stop by cignot anytime soon ill see about it then. I spent most of my time at vapebash getting some of my friends set up with their 1st time vapes so I didn't get to investigate properly lol.

So that's the SD key ring all the way in the pipe with a 510 to 901 adapter and an echo carto plus drip tip. Mini auto pipe. Slightly too airy but that could be easily mended by blocking one of the air flow holes.

Pretty cool.
