Hi, all,
I don't know how helpful this will be, in the grand scheme of things, but I can't see any reason not to provide this information, since it's already out there anyway.
If anyone is interested to know the 'model' for ECTA, then I can tell you that it is virtually the same as the model for ECITA (EU) Ltd. Some of you may have heard of ECITA, and be familiar with my work in Europe. For those that aren't, my blog has a huge amount of information, and can be found here:
ECITA Blog - UK Vapers (apologies to the moderators of ECF for posting a link to a different forum, but under the circumstances, I hope you will agree that it is relevant, and some considerable way removed from spamming!)
I am now bringing my team to Canada to do the same for the Canadian industry. We have a significant amount of experience in dealing with government policy-makers of different stripes, and are absolutely confident that the law is on our side. We will be doing absolutely everything we possibly can to ensure that the Canadian industry is able to grow and thrive, specifically so that Canadian citizens can continue to have access to high quality ecig products.
As soon as the ECTA Board is able to provide more information to you, then I am sure they will, but you must understand that this kind of 'project' takes a very long time. (Fortunately, it takes less time than it takes for government wheels to grind, but it is a lengthy process nevertheless!)
So in short, if you want to know what ECTA is about, look at ECITA - for good or bad, that is what ECTA is all about, and I must confess I am very proud of what ECITA has achieved so far.
I sincerely hope this helps, and look forward to helping your vendors help all of you.
Happy vaping, one and all,
Katherine
