How would you know if he's not making a profit? Have you checked the wholesale prices in China? There is a substantial margin between what a vendor pays & what a vendor sells for. Now, before you point fingers, you need to realize the costs of doing business - staff / web hosting / site costs / returns of DOA items....

It's the whole which is better scenario: Many customers at low price-point or few at high price? It's a choice that every startup founder must make. It's business and some people or consumers don't exactly understand it. They don't understand market size and market risk. They think selling a product too cheap and stealing consumers as evil. But they also don't like paying inflated prices...

I think that's Sam Elliott in We Were Soldiers. I always read oldsoldier's posts in Sam Elliott's voice because of that pic. And yeah, I wouldn't want to encounter him in a dark alley.

Seriously though, the whole bashing outside venders thing on the ECTA Facebook page is extremely unprofessional, and a waste of their social networking. They should be using it to inform, and should welcome outside discussion. It makes them look like children, and it's quite disappointing because I do see the value of having an association like them around. Ridiculous drama.

PERSONALLY....... I couldn't care less about ECTA or any other association type group, as I've always had access to goods (albeit with the slightest of shipment loss chances), from the get go. And I certainly don't see THAT changing any time soon.

ECTA is a trade association not a consumer advocacy group. We need to make that distinction when reading/hearing about what they do.

The 'consumer' rules and it is us who will determine the landscape of Canadian vaping by voting with our wallets.
