This is the exact reason some regulation is needed. Because right now a seller can put just about anything in a liquid, isn't required to tell you about it, inform you of levels, or even warn you, and can make almost any claim they want to about it. Just because a seller says they use premium USP ingredients means nothing because there's no rules, no one to answer to, its about as close to buying something from an alley as you can get. Why some can't comprehend this is beyond me.

Please cite the cases where buyers of ejuice have been harmed in the unregulated market.

In the meantime, let's talk about Chantix.... cause you know.... regulation will save us.

I don't have the links to the news stories at hand but they can be found easily. In two of the cases E liquid was sold openly to minors and labeled as e hookah liquid which in reality contained ingredients to alter the mind and in both cases the minors we admitted to hospitals. So let's not pretend here. It's happening all over.

Even my local smoke and vape shop has had visits by the police advising them not to sell E liquids to minors and not to sell or carry or display or offer any E liquid that contains mind altering ingredients to anyone no matter if the liquid is technically legal or not.

Relax Hookah E liquid and Cloud Nine E liquid. Look it up its no joke. (sorry if mentioning this by name isn't allowed, it's not my intention to knowingly break a board rule, please remove the names if necessary)

Forgot to mention you can watch people abusing so called E liquids on YouTube, its a wide spread problem. So you easily see without any regulation E liquids can be very dangerous cause there's no way to know what your getting, especially when bought online. Now add to that some actually advocate allowing kids to vape, that's not gonna be acceptable to most.

Ok, but just because they call it "e-liquid" doesn't mean it actually has anything to do with this conversation. We're discussing electronic cigarette liquid that may or may not contain nicotine. Whatever that is wouldn't fall under FDA regulation either, even if the proposed deeming regulations were adopted today. Synthetic mind altering substances are a completely separate issue.

Except they are being sold as E liquids and many of them contain vg, pg, and nicotine also. This isn't something new and the target are minors.

Yes, but it's not what anyone here means by e-liquid, and I doubt anyone here is advocating for this stuff to be available to minors. Can they use the same equipment to vape it? Yes, but you can also poke some holes in a soda can and smoke other stuff. That doesn't mean aluminum cans should be regulated as paraphernalia.

You can make up all sorts of excuses to ignore it but the fact is it's sold as E liquid doesn't matter how you feel about it and I never said anyone was advocating that this type of E liquid be sold to kids, your attempting to twist what I posted.

Fact is liquid sellers can put just about any chemicals in the liquid and legally sell it cause there's no set standards and no matter what you may try to convince yourself of you have no idea what your vaping or the level of safety.

you got some pretty seedy vape shops in your neighbourhood dude ... I've never seen anything like that ... and I live in a city of 3+ million people.

Are you trying to tell me that people unknowingly bought liquid with this other stuff in it?

I don't know and neither do you. But I would suspect most of them knew what it was but that's not the issue. The issue is it is available and a problem and if you don't think the public thinks its a problem ask law enforcement.

Ah, self regulation at work.

Just because you or I or him don't see it doesn't mean it isn't there. Most places won't openly display it but some will. I've seen it right next to the register. I was buying a bottle of Halo and was offered the other E liquid for a relaxing night. That's the way the store clerk put it.

I believe you. I think that happened in a town near here, wasn't even a vape store. By the time they reported the place had been closed down.

Never mind that E liquid for now. What's also important is legitimate companies selling you liquid with dangerous chemicals in it. They may not even know some of the chemicals used in their own flavors and may not care and may make no effort to find out. They don't have to care cause there's no regulations, no safety standards, nothing prohibiting high levels of unsafe chemicals being added for flavor. Its not hard to see how this can be a big problem.

SB got called on it and I'm willing to bet theres plenty of others that may be far worse.
