Wharf, Dan was cutting it so it extended into the tank and drilled the wick hole for the glass to fit. Later he decided on leaving the wick naked in the tank with only the coiled section inside glass. I'm gonna get some tubes. I want my inside diameter of the tube to match the wick hole as to allow the fattest 500 wick possible. I figured to get the size they linked and the next size up to be sure. You should be able to get more coils with more precision. It's gonna take some experimentation to be sure...My DID is on a hellacious trip...Greece, Germany....all the way too DIXIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! A mad scientist awaits.....


So my plumbing store carto punch has had it. I found my punch and hammered the last four Boge 510 XLs...2 holes each...I mixed 120mls of the StrawNanna...Loaded the carto and slid it in the tank...I let the old girl sit for 30 minutes...Mind you I filled the carto first...Screw it on and I can hear it sizzle.....No vapor...not even a wisp...The next one is doing OK at this point. Cut my flavor to 15% total and it seems like I tripled it...I should have cut it months ago. Looking at getting a Siam V2 Carto Punch from Bruce and some more Boges...Try as I might I can't link Kanger T3s, Boge and Siam from the same supplier.

Wharf the DID arrived Friday. Just got around to setting it up. All went well and I'm using a 4 coil 2.5 ohm 500 mesh wrap to start. Gonna take some experimentation but so far so good. Now to go back and order a pryex tank that was released 2 days after I ordered...Such is life................

Tinkering with my new DID and I'm hooked. Vapor and flavor are unmatched. Now if the coil can run for a while my set-up is golden. Using 500 mesh and an easy 3 coil wrap ohming at 2.0 there are no wicking issues, vapor and taste are unmatched.

Wharf I've got no pryex at this point. Still determining {waiting on further reviews} if I'll order tubing for the coil. I did order 2 pryex tanks for the DID...pryex tanks are a new product released two days after I ordered the DID...Yeah....................E19 shipping...it's just euros,,,, right????????????

I'm running 500 w/32 kanthal....This coil ohms @2.9...Wick is coiled tight with no center hole and as fat as will fit. Pryex tank for the DID should arrive tomorrow. The stainless looks good but how the heck you know the level???? It's taken some experimentation and lots of research. Wanting some 28 and 30 kanthal too dial it in futher. The next wick will remain fat but with the smallest center hole possible. With no hole tilting is required for clouds of vapor. Flavor leaves a bit to be desired but a new too me flavor could be responsible...The Pro-Vari runs the set-up as is...Lower resistence and more wraps(28) will dial it in further....Getting there but with everything coming thru internet purchases it will take some time...Reading that some get months of the best vape outta one set-up...Well when I get it all figured out I'll let all you know...Puff...Puff.....

Got my Phiniac tank today...naked and green{thier words not mine}...It's a big sucker and a Boge 510 fits flush top and bottom. No wiggly Ming...That's a plus...glass...another plus....green...YEAH!!!! Looks like it'll hold at least a gallon and a half...Might put a guppy or two in there for special effect....

I linked Kanger, Boge and RBA supplies....Stormy's Vapor Cellar. Kinda high on ss mesh and no 28 kanthal but I got a few Boges, a Kanger T3 and some coils and a 510 to Ego adapter. You got to have a back up plan. If the Kangers are a go I'll get one of those Twists as I despise adapters..

Now don't think I misssed those 60* temps the weatherman is promising. Until then I'll be slinging the propane.

The pryex arrived today and let me tell you....I like it!!!!!!!!!!!!! I got a full tank and I know it. Re-coiled using a drill bit with preheated kanthal...Wick actually did have a small hole in the center...it's .035 now....welding wire fit right in there. Coil looks almost professional and ohms @2.6. My thinking is the 28 gauge will allow an extra wrap at around the same ohms. A change of juice and all is OK with the DID. Still got some chasing but it's coming together...

Bovina I'll be getting that T3 Saturday....or not,,,,USPS...I only got one because the clear o mizer was a piece of,,,a piece,,,of,,,,,...............I got a couple extra coils....easy fill....ohms good....bottom fed...maybe just maybe.......

I'm actually hopeful about the T3s, I hear a lot of good so far. I never tried any of the clearos but heard they were hit or miss depending on what version. Don't get me wrong...I love to tinker, but having to tinker with my vaping gear is not cool with me LOL! It's way too easy to just go light up a stinkie

Dangitt BOB!!!!!!!!!!! Now I'm no expert by any means but that DID is getting the best of me...I ordered up a pre-mix flavor when I got the nicotine...Carmel Swirl...Hey it's OK...It gunked up the DID in no time flat...Usually my mixes burn really clean but like I said this is a pre-mixed all in one flavor....Still it rolls in the Joye 510 no problemo...Back too the dang research lab....in the meantime pass me a Boge and Joye.....Nothing ventured nothing gained...but it's cheaper............

Lol Dee! That's my concern about the T3 is possible gunking, but like you say...nothing ventured nothing gained

Too much sweetener will gunk the coils, I have a juice that does that. When it gets like that and I'm ready to refill the tank I give it a good dry burn then use a toothbrush to lightly brush the coil/wick. I also make sure the coils are heating evenly.
