Australia's postal system is in the same bad way, it seems email and the internet has killed off most of their revenue from normal post

Funny that you say that,it takes just as long to get something from Aus to NZ as it does from the states.

Apologies to all for the shipping talk.

After reminding myself about a million times that I do not need any new stuff, I caved in on Saturday night and ordered the Kayfun mini and the Kayfun V2.

These, to be exact: $30.02 Kayfun Lite Plus V2 Style Rebuildable Atomizer (4.5ml) - 1:1 clone / stainless steel at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping and $23.08 Kayfun Mini V2.1 ES Style Rebuildable Atomizer Kit (1.6-4.0ml) - stainless steel at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping.

One of the good things about waiting until the crowds die down is that they were both in stock, and have shipped already. :)

The Kayfun mini should go well with the VTR and/or the little base I got a few months ago, while the Kayfun V.2 is going to help me retire one of the not-too-good, non-hollow-cap problematic KFLs I have. One is from FT, the other is the sole survivor of 2 that I made the mistake of getting on a "group buy" from FC. I like Kayfuns far too much to spend time fiddling with badly designed, poor quality ones.

I can't believe it'll be July tomorrow...

It will be pretty loose in the VTR. That's about the same size as my mini-DID. They do have a 19mm gennie that should be a good fit but I don't know if it's up high enough to make taking the cap off easy.
$11.86 Genesis Style Rebuildable Atomizer (3.5mL) at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping of course it's not a glass tank.

I wish Innokin would've made that either a 22mm ring or came out with more atty styles that fit it. When I get the spare money I'm going to buy the stuff to make my own tall 19mm gennie for it.

I think that the Kayfun mini will fit the VTR a lot like the Taifun GS does. The GS is perfect with the VTR, really it is. It's a great little guy. My rationale for the mini is that a) it's a kayfun b) it's bright and shiny c) I need a backup for the GS in case something ever happens to it and d) it was in stock. Pathetic reasoning, but what do you want from an old lady?

I agree that a VTR with a 22 mm ring would be a joy. I've completely stopped using anything with it but the GS, so a bit of variety will not be a bad thing. :) A tall skinny genesis would be cool. The annoying thing would be not being able to lay the VTR down on its side - unless the genny in question didn't leak...

u can fit a kayfun 3.1 on the vtr if u take the ring off :D

Arrrrgh, base treachery, sir! Mutilation! Sabotage!

Strangely enough, I LIKE the ring. It's staying. It also gives me excuses to get other stuff just for it...

I've seen a bunch of pictures of modified VTRs and yeah, they do work with much bigger atties, but I honestly can't see doing it to mine.

They must be selling a lot of those KFL V2s, they've dropped the price a whole buck since I got mine. I've only used it with the nano tank so far and love it.

I also got the cheap FC group buy one, worst KF I have. (out of 8) I take junk like that as a challenge to get it working right, and it does now. But I had to put a FT PMMA tank on it because the top cap to tank seam leaked, even with a better o-ring. I have to actually stuff wick into the top of the channel to get it to stop leaking from the airhole.

Edit: Adding link to the PMMA tank https://www.fasttech.com/products/0/10006473/1570900-spare-parts-for-kayfun-v3-1-atomizer

If you think of the size differences and divide them in half (for each side) the bigger one only has 1.5mm on each side. The smaller has 3.5mm (going from memory). I doubt if it matters it just looks like the ring does something with a smaller gap.

My single coil gennies don't leak.

I bought mine locally so I have a lifetime warranty which he claims he'll stand behind, unless you do something like grind the ring off.

Does anyone know the coil set screw size for the KayFuns like the SKU: 1494700?

I'd order a dozen or replace with an allen screw cap if I could. Fastech has kit (sold out) at SKU 1552300 but they don't give screw sizes.

Screws for Posts
M 1.6 x 3mm

AFC
M3 grub screw

hope these are correct:)
