My recent Fasttech order arrived 8 days after I placed it. Shipped E-Packet to Los Angeles, where it sat for a couple of days, then it suddenly appeared in Miami and up to middle GA.

LA must not like me haha,my last 2 sat in LA for more than 8 days,that's not counting any travel time.Now,my most recent one took 6 days from day of order to getting scanned in LA,and has been 3 days there with no movement yet,i figure i'll see it week after next if they follow the past 2 experiences with them.
Not bad, my orders usually take 3-4 weeks. My last order has been showing preshipment for 7 days, lol. I will say I prefer my stuff going through LA than Chicago. I've had 2 orders go through Chicago, they sat once for a week and one time for 2 weeks. Nothing ever has batteries in it either, but hey for the price I can wait, lol.
I'm just the opposite,i prefer Chicago.I've had several orders arrive at my door in 6-8 days from order date to my door going through Chicago,but my last 2 that went through LA were 28 days on 1 and 24 days on the other from date of order to my mailbox,and most of that wait time on both was sitting in LA.The 28 day one went through customs,then went to the sort facilty,and then got pulled and sent back to customs again haha.
I feel your pain, I think a lot of it works like the airport spot check,lol. I will say it has been a while since I had any go through Chicago, maybe they've sorted out some things.

Placed an order yesterday for a 'new arrival' unique looking cheapo starter kit, said In stock when I ordered. Plus a 5 pack of flat plastic 510 drip tips that said ships in 5 days.
Checked today.... Drip tips are ready to ship.... Mod scheduled for the 21st!

So...has anyone had any problems receiving things, as far as the tariffs (ie. additional charges, stuff stopped/held by customs, etc.)? I need to order a bunch of coils for my hairdresser and some other things.
As of today, tariffs that would include coils, components, etc., are not in effect. Only complete "kits".
Will be interesting to see if customs will be able handle the collection, from thousands of packages ordered by individuals daily.
If the next phase of tariffs go into effect, I will place small, one or two item orders to "test the waters"

I've had 3 packages come through after the tariffs took effect,and no problems so far.The first to come through,i thought may get hit,since it left customs,then got pulled back to them again,but the 2nd time it sailed right through and eventually got to me without issue.I have another sitting in customs now,and will be placing another order next week,so i keep "testing the waters" haha,i figure if or when i have any issues,then i know it's time to stop ordering from there.
We're any of the packages complete kits as mentioned by @puffon? That's what I just ordered.
I doubt they have really got anything sorted out,i think i've just been lucky.I did have a few go through Chicago that took a long time,i had 1 that was in Customs there for 34 days before it moved,but most of the time they have been really quick,then it's a roll of the dice whether the sort facility there can do their part haha.I had a package about a year ago that was moving at lightning speed.Made it from China to Chicago and cleared customs in 3 days,i should of had it by day 5,since normally their sort facility is pretty fast,and has the package to me about 2 days after clearing customs,but for whatever reason,they decided that package was moving too fast,so they gave it a tour of the U.S. before it to me haha.I forget the exact order of where all it went,but it was in Chicago,Missouri,Iowa,N. Dakota,Florida,Indiana,and at least 1 other state before finally getting to me after it's 3 week tour haha.
