Hazmatt, I ordered one of the X1 3.5ml Detachable Dripping Electronic Cigarette Atomizer on my new order, no experience but will let you know if no one else chimes in

On a side note these are going back, down to 1 working one....https://www.fasttech.com/p/1351606  I'm okay with this, I figured there may be some quality issues but with their return policy no worries. I did order some 510/ego adapters so that instead of using the egos I can use my darwin for the evods & T4's :thumb:

I used to use a pretty reputable vendor on ecf for several years for their ego style kits, and sang their praises to noobs all the time. It seems over the past year or so they decided to sacrifice quality in lieu of raising the price a few bucks (which I would have gladly paid) the last 2 kits came with the atomizers screwed in, bad smell of fried battery and no off click feature.

So what is this x8? I have one on the way with my x6 kit? this a dripper? Carto? I got no clue.

It is a carto. If you got the X6 kit with an X8, then you'll have one. One comes with the 8ml vivi nova tank. If you ordered the $25 one with a case and charger, that's the one with the X8. If it was $33, that's the one with the big vivi, blunt needle tip bottle, and charger.

i dont have any hand in experience to all of the above items but from what i have read and asked some of the folks on this thread

X8 carto tank is very good
twist battery is good only prob is that marking of the voltages on the twist cap is bad
regarding the big RBA just now seen a review video of grimmgreen regarding smoktect octopus RBA which s identical
he showed his wick turned blue color from the blue color octopus RBA if i were you i would stick with stainless steel finish
and last rba looks nice with the aluminum cap and looks like ss drip tip

The X8 is good. Both of the ones that came with my X6 kits came with both screws and work well. I've had no problems with either of them. Good flavor, good vapor production, and easy to fill.

I can recommend the X8's,use 2 daily for 6 weeks or so.

Thanks for the feedback. I have been wanting to try a carto tank and this is the cheapest one I have seen, that has a fill hole.

Will let ya know how this twist is. Should be here by the end of the week.

Please do. I have friends that want to get into vaping and they want to do it cheaply. If these are good, I will start recommending them.

Thanks to nipurava also.

It's fine, my only complaint is that there are only 3 of the voltages printed on the twist cap and no mark on the body so you can tell what voltage you are on. I solved that by scraping a small line from the black at the bottom after turning the twist right down to 3.2 V.

My previous response re the FT 650 twist. Build quality is good.

and big fat X1 rba top cap screws on to the atty there might be a air hole issue idk
the knurled screw on the posts is way better for rebuilding than a allen screw

I noticed the lack of air holes in the body. I guess the air comes from the 510 threads.

Thanks Ref. I may just order one to try for myself. You can't have too many backups LOL.

Vchick, what happened to your ego batteries?

I like the way those look, but I've had nothing but poor results from cheap ego batteries, two from fasttech and a couple from other HK vendors. They work, but loose charge capacity way to fast. I don't think it has anything to do with the way I charge them, since batteries from US vendors are still working fine.

When I plugged them into the charger, it never went to red....took them off and did the 5-click thing a few times, screwed on the cartos or atomizers and nothing. Tried pulling the posts, nothing, no contact. Figure they just don't have good connections, haven't noticed any signs of them being fried (no electrical smell or anything)

Thanks for the quick reply and info Vchick.

What do you recommend soaking them in and for how long? That was the easiest recoil I've ever seen so I will try that too.

Sorry Mookie, missed your post! I just soaked in warm water and then dried and dry burned, nothing else!

X1 is an Octopus or Octopus clone. B & M price around $10. I love mine with 1.7 ohm coil.

Edit: Maybe they just don't show the airhole in the photo. There's 1 on the body at the same level as the deck hole. Guess I should say there should be one airhole on the body. I got my Octopus locally.

I forgot to reply to that question.
I soaked my T4 in hot water and dish soap, for about 15 minutes. Then rinsed it thoroughly. My tap water is so hot, you cannot keep your hands in it. I have to use tongs to rinse my smaller e-cig parts.

Thanks for the reply on the X1, Glen

What are you considering getting from FastTech ..... I give kits away to smokers trying to quit from time to time. I'm glad to see they started putting cloned evods on the cloned ego batteries now in their cheap 20 buck kits. It makes it easier to convert someone to get off cigarettes.

thats right i didnt see it all there are air holes at 510 connection
but i am sure that the air flow would be pretty bad
but you can cover them and drill a hole on top cap :)

Actually, I got that advice from someone on the forum when I posted about getting the Octopus. They said to plug the airhole on the body and drill one out on the wick and hold on tight. lol
