I see so many people being so unpleasant to each other lately.

People come to vaping for many reasons and some of those reasons might well be financial. Just because I was paying $200 a month for cigs does not mean I still can. For some of us we had to quit because the choice became food or smokes. That simple. vaping actually CAN reduce the costs to a manageable level if we are careful. So please stop letting fly blanket statements like "If you could afford to smoke you can afford anything you want vaping wise." It simply isn't true for some of us.

I shop at fasttech for gear because that is what I can afford. I would love to be able to go out and buy a REO + RM2 and call it done there. I just cannot do that right now. SO I economize by buying a mech and a RBA on fasttech which lets me stop shelling out for clearos, the heads for them, and ego batteries that never last me more than 4 months. What extra I have left in my budget goes in the REO savings jar.

I don't remember anyone asking for a handout in this thread. I do remember a new vaper being frustrated because their first order of real gear is being held up so long and someone else VOLUNTEERING to help out. Big difference between that and begging.

Take a deep breath and move on folks. If we were not looking for deals we wouldn't be in a fasttech thread to begin with.

Afraid this may provoke some tense replies but I am curious: How many US vendors are buying their batteries and accessories from FT or other China based companies? I would imagine most are...so the items bought from them would be the same quality, right? Or am I mistaken and there are manufacturers here in the US?

all batteries come from china. The US doesnt have the rare earth supply to make the lithium batteries. so yes they should all be the same quality. theoretically lol.

Heads up on the mini, it is just that, mini. It's the diameter of an eGo. That was the first rda I bought and it was a bit of a surprise when I opened that vapemail. After a couple re-coils, I finally put a microcoil in it with cotton ball wick and left it. It's not a bad dripper at all, probably one of my favorites, but these Vienna sausage fingers make it a bit cumbersome.

Lol i must admit i imagined it a bit bigger than it turned out to be... BUT i do like the little bugga... So much in fact that it now sits on top of my vamo... Looking absolutely ridiculous ofc...

I got an IGO L from FT...I really like it so far.
Trying different type wicks with it... tried cotton with it but I burned it too easily so now I'm going to try ekowool.
One of my next purchases will be that trident clone in the gold colour

I have been drooling over that trident as well... Might be my next purchase... Either that or a dirt cheap box mod (really wanna try one) and some new batteries

Pretty much all of them do. Buying from ft directly just cuts out the middleman, thus putting that cash back into our pockets.

What would you be doing if you were smoking? Your cigarette budget wouldn't shrink.
You'd be spending your cigarette budget every week. When prices increase you'd find a way to budget it. The tax man knows this and relies on it.

Everyone may not be able to keep up but that's because not everyone is good with their money. They see that they're saving $20 a week vaping over smoking so they buy $20 worth of Big Macs. Instead of hanging on to their old ecig stuff as a backup they sell it at a loss, when they need a backup and have to pay extra because they don't have the luxury of time.

I saw the "fixed income" complaint on Johnson Creek's FB page. They were spending $40 a week in cigarettes. Now they're spending $20 in liquid, yet they don't have any money to hit a sale because their check hasn't come in yet.
Same people spend 10% extra plus extra shipping (because they never allow themselves the luxury of time to get free shipping) buying single bottles. This isn't even getting into the question of what is someone who's poor doing buying expensive liquid anyway.
And worse yet, because they can't get the liquid when they need it they're going to spend twice as much to smoke.
It doesn't add up.

Want to order cheap from China? Put yourself in a position to be able to afford the time it may take to order from China. Otherwise wait until you have nothing and pay someone else to order inventory from China.
Some people are their own worst enemy.

With the money I saved I upped my 401k contribution.

In reality, FastTech is a middleman as they don't manufacture anything. They are just closer to the source and take less of a cut.

the carts i got from FT were awful, fortunately they were just the stock that came in the couple carto tanks.
I only use BOGE, none of the smok or dct nonsense. From surevapes (free shipping) they are pretty cheap in a pack deal, esp if you punch your own holes with a tool
I primarily use cart tanks, occasionally clearos (PTs) and have just started using rdas. need to up my skill a little with the latter

I bought boges as well for my X8. I think they are actually cheaper than fasttech pricing. I didn't think the ft carto was that bad. It was vapable.

Very true. I guess what I meant was the middleman (Chain) in whatever country the buyer would typical buy from. I think that made sense.
