Dug around for specs High Drain Trustfire Imr 14500 Rechargeable Batteries 700mah 3.7v Battery Rechargeable Batteries - Buy Imr 14500 Rechargeable Batteries,Rechargeable Battery 700mah,3.7v Battery Rechargeable Batteries Product on Alibaba.com
discharger: 5c
so at 700mAh specsx5c = 3500
So with those batteries it is conceivable you could push 3.5 amps, not alot for a high drain device..so be careful
Thanks for the heads up. I don't sub ohm or anything with these. Just plain ole 1.8 ohm coil in a pro tank. 4.2 volts divide by 1.8 resistance = 2.33 amps, or theoretically, max output. As long as I don't have a short I should be ok. Another thing about these batts is the actual mah is more like 650. So that brings the amp limit down to 3.2 amps
IMR chemistry (as you probably already know) 'shouldn't' be as dangerous if there is a catastrophic failure (short). Anyone doing mechanicals should be aware of these risks. I never carry them in a pocket with an atomizer attached either.
For my Daughter and her other half, I thought I would give them these..

They work pretty good with a low resistance coil. They don't have the same output as a mech (more like 3.7v +/-), but they do a decent job. I think for where they're at right now, this will serve the purpose. They can buy prepackaged coils for the pro tank mini's that I'll give them. Of course I'll give them at least a five pack (each) of coils too.
Oh, and about these purple batteries, There are no markings on them whatsoever! :homy:. They will be 'recycled'
