Friendly reminder of the day ...

ECF is not a forum designed for arguing or throwing punches. If you want to do so, please do it in Private and leave this fasttech post available for those who want to learn and share without having to read ridiculous arguments over a bunch of he said/she said. That's the kind of garbage that turns people away from forums quickly. We want more people signing up here to share knowledge and experience, not less.

Thanks.
I know right...what the heck happened to our thread...since we took a detour...I am going to post up a new "hobby" I stumbled upon because of FT (which means I get to spend more money...uggh)
I plan on getting this as my EDC
$20.68 Convoy S5 Cree XM-L T6-4C 886-Lumen 4300-4500K 2-Group 3/5-Mode LED Flashlight - 1*18650 / AMC7135*8 / carrying strap at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping
1321606-6.jpg

I currently have a bunch of clones of these, teeny little pocket flashlights, incredibly bright compared to say those el-cheapo 9 LED jobbies at gas stations and lowes and whatnot (absolutely smash mini-mag lights)...these little guys are VERY bright for the price and fit in a pocket perfectly, tons of light, the nice part about them, there is a focusing ring on the front, I can throw a beam of light really far out, so far as to be able to see objects at 100 yards if I need to...with a standard AA battery it is quite bright, with a 14500 Li Ion it is crazy bright and will actually get warm in your hand (the driver is a boost at 1.5vdc (stepping up the voltage at 500mA, in Li Ion it acts as a straight thru regulator at 800mA thus it gets warm)
https://www.fasttech.com/products/0...-sk68-cree-q3-wc-120-lumen-convex-lens-led-fl

I found clones on amazon for alot cheaper and ordered 1/2 a dozen of them

I also have it's bigger brother coming in
https://www.fasttech.com/p/1520403
1520403-8.jpg

I also got a few "DIY" hosts and drop in modules, these things are crazy bright (flood light) and the finish on these things is immaculate, I think since I ordered 2 I will keep one in my truck and maybe one on a lanyard on a hook by the front door
https://www.fasttech.com/p/1409307
https://www.fasttech.com/p/1159800
thing that makes me crazy..find out later they sell it already put together...arrrgh
https://www.fasttech.com/products/1601/10000986/1580802
1580802-7.jpg

This thing puts any maglight on the planet to shame...best $10 flashlight you can put your hands on

The one flashlight I got from Amazon FT carries (at a bit more) but this thing absolutely FLOORS me on how bright it is...I call it the mamma jamma because it is huge! It's like a handheld spotlight and bright is an understatement...like a sun in your hand. I might end up getting some of that rubberized paint from Lowes/Home Depot and painting it black but whoah, never would I have thought that much light could come out of something I could hold in my hand

Now you have something to recommend to those people that end up buying the el-cheapo 18650's that aren't safe to run in a vaping rig :D

For those who opt to still use atties that contain brass (I do) there's a technique to remove surface lead in case that turns out to be an issue. We don't know for sure the level of lead in the brass used or if it's even harmful when it comes into contact with juice we inhale, but the risk is there and this technique is both safe and easy to do.

It's the brewers method to remove surface lead. Just combine 2 parts white vinegar with 1 part Hydrogen Peroxide (using the common and easy to get 3% solution of HO2). Set the parts that have exposed brass in the solution, swirl, and let sit 10 minutes. At that time the brass should have a shiny gold color, so remove and rinse them off. Don't leave in longer, as the copper in the brass will start to dissolve which will expose more lead. The solution may bother sensitive skin, so wear gloves if you want.

The nice thing is that once the surface lead is removed, it's gone. Lead stays where it is, and won't leak to the surface, so this only needs to be done once. If you do any machining to the part, such as filing, drilling, or sanding; that will expose more brass so you can do this method again.

Great posting, good to know saves me throwing FT junk in the bin!

Just got three kamry kicks and a knockoff eternity in the mail from fasttech.

Since I only vape at ~7 watts these kicks are ideal for me. They're snug to get into the tubes (iseason, k101, and smoktech telescope) but they work just fine after a bit of toying with the dial.

Eternity clone is virtually identical to the vision in terms of performance.

I'm thrilled.

I too like the 18650 CREE flashlights, on my property I need all the light they can put out. There are a couple of downsides though, at least with mine https://www.fasttech.com/p/1195019:

You can't just hand one to somebody that has never used one without explaining the different modes.
I don't know if the strobe effect is enough to cause a seizure, but I'm not letting any kids use it anyways.
When it finally starts blinking to indicate the battery needs charging, it can be well under 3 volts. For some batteries, that's not good.
I'm not putting it in my mouth no matter the emergency, that was a bad habit anyways.

Speaking of which, has anyone bought a headlamp from Fasttech? If so, any suggestions?
I've got some work to do under the house in a few months, a headlamp would be very helpful.

Edit/addendum: the only order I have left waiting to be shipped has been in "Packaging" for 2 days, what's up with that?

Most excellent post! I will be back later. I gotta go look at the brass drip tips on FT that I've been ignoring. :D

Any one order any of these DT's would love a stack but would like to hear some feed back before ordering.

Thank you in advance.

$2.25 Pyrex Glass 510 Drip Tip at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

I got that exact one. I like it a lot, great price for a glass DT. Glass and ceramic tips are almost disposable to me, since they break so easily if a mod is dropped (which I do occasionally), so it's nice to get them at a good price. I plan to get several more of that one in different colors, plus some of their other pyrex and ceramic tips for next order. They are much more flavor transparent for me than metal and plastic tips.

Thanks I use nothing but Glass DT's and at this price will pick up a stack :)
How are they as far as fit goes.

Thanks for the feedback.

Thanks for the feedback.

The one I got the fit is on the smaller side. I prefer that, as many of my drippers only take smaller tips. It fits well in the Trident clone I got, which only a few of my tips work with. I've been mainly using it with my authentic Kayfun Lite, and it's a good fit. May need to switch out a fatter o-ring for some devices though.

Thanks I will be ordering a few in the next few days, I still need to go through the Fastech site to see if there is any thing else I need.

Thanks again.

Just got my chromed brass kayfun and I love it! I ordered this version as it was ships-next-day and I couldn't wait. Not worried about the brass - all my evods have brass anyway - but I'm planning on ordering the ss kfl. The installed coil didn't work properly but I used the wire in it (as my kanthal didn't arrive yet) to wrap a shoddy coil and it hits like a freight train! A bit of leaking through the air hole but I think that's due to me not using enough cotton. One problem though; I fill from the top as the needle tipped bottles I use don't seem to like the side fill hole. When I screw of the top the chimney unscrews as well. It's great that the o-ring is tight, but... Anyone have a solution for this?

The quantium site used by fasttech keeps on saying physical item received on 30th December and that is it. It is been 9 days and nothing else have changed. I hope it is the tracking software which is bad and its not waiting for almost 10 days on the hongkong port.

Mine was marked shipped on Dec. 26th and Reached LA customs on Jan. 5th. That included 2 weekends and New Years. Shipped by way of Singapore. Left LA yesterday for a US TOUR.
