I thought my order was lost after it "Departed San Francisco Sorting Facility" I'd check it every day and the status wouldn't change. A few days went by and nothing. I was so used to watching orders hit different facilities on it's way here (Minnesota) I thought it was lost. I just happened to check the mail and it magically was there! Patience is truly a virtue. :) Total transit time was about 5 days.

I feel better after reading this..

My package departed S.F. on the 4th and I haven't had an update since then...I knew the 4th of July holiday was going to delay it but I still expected a status update, maybe?

Hoping its in my mailbox tomorrow when I get home from work!!

Helpfull post Nip. I think we should also make a list of items that we have found to be less dubious.

I can start with:

This vivi clone is a dog: run away https://www.fasttech.com/search?1314100

These CE6 clearos have been reported hit or miss by several. The ones I got with a battery were fine but the six pack gives a nasty taste. https://www.fasttech.com/p/1305000

These 650 mAh batteries have been reported to be poor performers http://www.fasttech.com/p/1351606

If people post things that DON'T work out I will add it to the list and re-post it every few pages. Nip, perhaps you could do the same.

Somewhere out there

Wouldn't you know, they listed the metal tip ones the day after my order for a 5 pack of the plastic tip ones shipped.
Maybe I'll just order some metal tips separately https://www.fasttech.com/products/1363400

I'm really liking the first 2 T4's I got. I can vape down to the bottom of the tank with no leaks or gurgling.

What is the overall verdict on the vape quality and taste of the T4s? I've seen different opinions (of course) but don't have time to read the whole thread. I like the evods because they are the first type of clearo that I've found that doesn't mute the taste too badly and you don't have to use a beauty ring - hence adding additional length to your pv. But I hate the fixed dt and love the idea of being able to use my own tips. I have plenty of vivi's but find the taste muted compared to the evods.

So I am wondering if it is worth trying the T4 or if you guys have found something similar that you prefer. I haven't even gone to the FT site yet so I would greatly appreciate advise before I order.

Thanks in advance!!!

I'd never had either one, so I ordered one of each, my initial impression was that I like the T4 better, drip tip friendly and larger capacity.
I have found that each requires some adaptation of the core, mainly either removing a portion of the flavor wick or complete removal, think it's going to depend on your juice. Highly recommend taking apart the core and soaking both the tube and core and giving it a good rinse a some have experienced some machining oil or some other flavor not normal to the tube. I've had no leaking from either, hth ;)

Re-wicking and cleaning the core is easy-peasy...........see PBusardos vid (same as the evod same core) if you're iffy on ordering the cores, they also have a 3-pack of wired wicks if you're not already a rba rebuilder! I just placed another order for the 7-pack!

Pics of the CGRs. One left is from reputable US dealer, right FT. You can see the differences in top & length. The shorter run time I can live with. The heat they generate on a pila is my real concern.

The silver X6 kit came in today. On the envelope for the $25 kit, the value was listed as $48. I thought that was interesting since most people reported much lower amounts. I actually remembered to check it before throwing it away this time.

The order I got yesterday (Vivi, evod and some little odds and ends) cost me $17. The customs form says value $39.

Had to look twice before I noticed it was in HongKong Dollars. $39 HKD = $5.03 US

Thanks for the quick reply and info Vchick.

What do you recommend soaking them in and for how long? That was the easiest recoil I've ever seen so I will try that too.

Nitecore i4 charger and razor blades. Woot! Just bought the man a provari so i figured it would be a good charger.. got the 18650 from orbtronics.com but if fastech sells some quality 18650/18500s I'd love to know!

Must ignore ignorance.. must ignore ignorance.. :D

FT has 18650 1600mah Sony batteries with a 30amp limit. They're like $12 a pair and are great for mechanicals.

Btw, the difference on the batteries on the last page is because the ones on the left are protected the others are not...

Just to add my pov as a non-us customer, FT or other chinese vendors offer something most us vendors don't.
The 2 most important points, in my opinion are, Paypal and international cheap shipping.

Every order i make on an american vendor always has a pricy shipment attached to it usually $15-30 depending on where you buy. While the most i payed at some chinese vendors is $9.

Then we can argue for days about local business and what have you, but we're never going to reach an agreement because while i understand us vapers want to support their local suppliers, me and many others don't feel the need for that, well, for obvious reasons :p

It would be nice to leave this thread for what it's really for, discussing FT products and service. That said, if ECF decided to close all the FT related threads i wouldn't be angry or mad because they clearly work with other vendors from china so i suppose they could approach FT to become an authorized supplier.

tldr, let's try to mantain the thread civil and about the products and the service and not about the philosophy of buying from local/over seas vendors :p

As an American buyer I can assure everyone concerned that I am going to support ME and my bank account. I don't do that 'buy the union label' BS. They never did anything for me except drive the cost up and force me to be more prudent where I spend my HARD EARNED $$$. Same for US e-cig vendors that mark up 300%. The local B& M's have ALL gotten my business and a couple of them WILL continue to get it on occasion.

When I decide to break out the checkbook for a high end mech (Probably an ELA) I'll do so of my own free will because it's what I want and I'm willing to pay the price. The selection will be made with MY best interest in mind and have little to do with where it's manufactured.

    Off rant :)
