Hey, how's the fire button on that Nemesis? One of the reviewers said the switch didn't fire sometimes, wanted a 2nd opinion on that.
Thx!
Well, when I first got it, the switch was pretty crunchy. I mean, it was lousy. After a really good alcohol bathe and rinse and a dab of lithium lubricant, it was worlds better. It's not too bad, but it still feels kinda junky. The tolerances are really loose and is wobbles a lot. If you push from the edges, it does bind up a little. The most likely cause is that the switch post is considerably smaller than the hole in the carrier. Usually in a design like this, you would use an extremely hard material such as M50 on the center post that is highly polished, and then a slightly softer metal carrier with the hole bored to a much tighter tolerance to reduce the "leaning" effect of the carrier that allows it to pinch or dig in to the pin. Quite frankly, the switch on this is a pretty poor design overall.
However, this isn't a clone problem, the real one is built exactly the same way. I say this based on videos I have seen of the original mod.
I'm working around the whole problem by training myself to hold it in such a way that my finger wraps completely under the bottom so I am always pressing on it evenly or in the center.
don't get me wrong, it's still a really nice mod and i've seen WAY worse switches.
