fastech aint that fast.

Our shipper screwed up by re-sending approximated a few hundred packages without notifying us the new tracking numbers. As a result, we are not aware of their delivery status and we did not not any package returned.

If you have received your package, please mark your order as delivered. Your honesty will not go unrewarded (we'll announce something soon). On the other hand, if you have not received your package, just stay put and you will be refunded.

If you have questions regarding this e-mail, please feel free to reply to us.

I thought that might be it. I know people that won't order online ... period. Too much risk for them. To each their own. I figured that fasttech customers were risk-takers. Ordering online from a foreign country takes some nerve. I was impressed by the poster here that bought a $200 tablet from fasttech. That's more cash than I'm willing to risk. I'm currently tracking RC114080134HK & RT200811874HK. It doesn't seem like I'm sharing personal information to share a tracking number.

I think we all have our own personal comfort zones when it comes to the Internet, international purchases and security. I'm the one who bought the tablet...and the reason I decided I could do it, was because of the 5 months' purchasing experience I've had with FT. Through my own experiences and what I've read here from everyone, I was pretty confident that it would be okay. I even checked with our government's personal imports regulations to make sure it wouldn't get seized.

This being said, I'd never give my credit card number or any other personal info out over a cell phone connection! That's when I get paranoid...

This is what I decided on:

https://www.fasttech.com/products/1381304 FNF ifive X2 8.9" IPS Screen 1.8GHz Quad-Core Android 4.1.1 Jellybean Tablet PC (16GB)

https://www.fasttech.com/products/1332003 U2-181 Micro USB Male to USB-A Female Converter Adapter up angled
This is to connect the keyboard to the tablet. Works perfectly.

https://www.fasttech.com/products/1053713 Universal Protective PU+ABS Leather Case for 10" Tablets w/USB Keyboard
I loved the idea of a built-in keyboard - it's dead useful.

I have an ipod touch that has been a great companion for years, but the screen is cracked in several places now and is going to fall apart one of these days, so the tablet was supposed to replace it. I had no idea there were so many free fun apps available! I can see why the kids go nuts with the games, but I think it's going to be really useful to use as a reader and for films. I do need a screen protector, though, because it is a fingerprint magnet.

I got a 8" version a few months ago. Be prepared to wipe it to get rid of ALL the Chinese bloatware. I also have WiFi issues with mine. Can sit next to the router and it will randomly drop...

I just use my iTaste VV 3.0 (from FT) for an ohm checker. I have a combo 6600mAh battery/charger/e-cig (Yes 6600mAh, and I will post a new thread with pictures when I get it) that I ordered and shipped today from the USA, should have by Friday. Then I have to find some cheap solar panels to charge everything. Living in Hurricane Florida, never hurts to be prepared.

Wow, here's a first, it actually went BACK to the previous sort facility, for no apparent reason. Also, usually it goes straight to my local post office from Kearny, no idea why they send it to Jersey City.

You're working off a false premise that there are barriers for businesses to ship overseas. There are none. It's easy for a US business to ship overseas. America businesses choose to sell to Americans, because the market is huge. Why take the time to understand smaller foreign markets that have different cultures and different legal systems?

The reluctance for US companies to export transcends governments, it has been going on for decades. I think it is just more noticeable since the internet opened up other markets.

Companies like Fasttech are just exploiting these opportunities. For many of us living overseas, buying US products just isn't an option. Most companies just can't be bothered to use paypal, and fill out a simple customs declaration. This mindset is very detrimental to the deficit.

I'd like to see a campaign "Patriots export". If you grow your US business with exports, there will be less demand for companies like Fasttech, and volume will help you remain competitive globally.

Then I could start my campaign

"What do we want
Reasonable international postage
When do we want it
Now"

It costs $20 to get a Vamo shipped DHL from China to the US or UK, $20 to get a Semovar mod shipped from the UK to the US and $50 to get a Provari shipped from the US to the UK.
