Edit: The black one has an LCD problem, only get 3 out of 5 bars after charging (tried 2 different chargers). Seems to work ok, but will try it tomorrow and see if it is just an LCD problem or something else. Using the blue one now and seems to be working fine.

Ya' got BATTERIES! Isn't that really unusual? Heck even if one is DEAD you're money ahead, yes?

Senile Old Man Don............ gettin' the urge to buy some BATTERIES!

** I need a nap.......... resist the desire to BUY .......... resist! Bad old man ........ BAD!

People discuss their vaping budgets often here.

Mine works like this.

I often buy large quantities of Liqua Apple from FT.

I use Totally Wicked's blackcurrant when mixing my own.

Occasionally I see a new device that I like the sound of, and buy it (most recently the MVP v2).

It's all total hedonism. I can't dignify this behaviour with the word "budget".

It doesn't cost much(unless you buy American Made) and it's fun.

I vote for this! :)

boborone ........ this reminds me of all my shooting - cleaning - rebuilding stuff I ordered over the years. I was so caught up I blew my budget (and it was a big budget at the time) every month. Then I stopped for three months - painful - and reassessed what I "missed" buying. I looked carefully .. closely .. every aspect and then decided............................................ screw it! I bought like crazy again! You really must control the urge! Too much ... too much ... too much! Arrrgggghhhh ... it's NEVER too much! Buyaoholics WE are indeed!

I resist the e-cigarette buys............. today. Gad I feel like a reformed alky-holic!:2cool:

Senile Old Man Don ......... IN CONTROL:blink:......... right now ........ and now:vapor:....... I'm slipping ...... slipping :vapor:........ I need more .............. control............. OR.................. "stuff"!

Well I've done a pretty good job of limiting myself. Cig cost me over 200 a month. I limit myself to 150 on ecigs. Just sucks blowing it all at once. But I'm stocked on all I need with coils, juice and such. Figured I'd get big stuff while I could. My girl sees no problem with spending even the same amount I did on real cigs, but I figured I'd drop it anyways.

My last FT order safely arrived first of the week. Everything is comfortably nestled in the Vape cave. Sadly most of what I purchased went straight into reserve storage.
This just helped to reinforce my theory that I have been shopping just to shop.
Time to stop for a while.
I dropped almost $350 just in the past few weeks and for a medium light vaper that is just ridiculous. :glare:

i haven't yet used my new kayfun, because after 1 week of cleaning, the machine oil taste still persists.

Remove the o-rings. Clean carefully with hot water and dish soap. Dry and set aside.

Boil up 1 quart of water. Add Kayfun metal parts to soup bowl. Cover with boiling water. Stir w/ stirring device. Repeat x3.

Reassemble KayFun and vape it like you stole it!

i boiled it for 3 hours with dishwasher liquid ( i have no idea how the dishwasher liquid is named or which is best to use, i just hunt and occasionally gather but never cook or do dishes )

Wow. That's some stubborn oil. I ran mine through a cheap ultrasonic for three cycles and it was clean as a whistle.

How far did you tear it down? It seems to me that there's got to be someplace that the washing isn't getting to. There's no way the machine oil is still covering exposed surfaces after that treatment.

I agree. I'm not rich, but not poor, when I see something I want or looks cool, I buy it. I am not at break even, but some day I will be, but I am NOT SMOKING STINKIES, so it is all good. Vape on my Friends, Vape On.

Gad yes. Oil floats off warm metal; grease more slowly so. Still there after that much cleaning it's gotta be in a reservoir somewhere; the light machine oil that is ........ not the water (Duh Donnie).

Now I have the dange FT Fever again. I shoulda kept takin' that NAP!:):) Dang ECF FT NBA NLB USAA buyers got me agin'!

Senile Whoever I am tonite................... DONNIE! Yea ......... DONNIE

*** ULTRASONIC CLEANER like we used in the hospital? To clean instruments? Wayyyyyyyyyyyy cool! Does FT SELL 'EM?!:glare:

everything. i even removed the center post. everything. there is a faint but very annoying taste of machine oil. i can't stand it since i mostly vape on a dripper which has a very clean taste.

I still say disassemble it, stick the parts in a pair of nylon stockings or something like that, and run it through the dishwasher. Those high-power jets and the steam that builds up in a dishwasher might solve your problem.

Silly question, but it has happened.
You didn't dump the e-liquid back in the bottle did you?

On another Topic:

Soaking in vinegar and then rinsing in hot water will remove a lot of things. Bad thing is what it does to o-rings in tanks. Didn't have a problem with EVOD's etc, just tank o-rings

I had the same problem with my aqua.. heres how to get rid of it. strip it down remove all orings and any insulators (ie non metal) throw them in soap bath. Then throw all metal parts in Acetone scrub good with toothbrush then a quick soap and rinse your oil taste will be gone. Don't do this if you have the kayfun with plastic ball in filler hole.

Uhhh... I definitely wouldn't recommend this unless you're ABSOLUTELY sure you're only soaking bare metal, and even then you're going to have to wash it three times just to make sure you've got all the acetone off. Considering the problems you've had getting the machine oil out, Albcig, I'd be really concerned that you'd swap one problem for a much bigger one.
