I have one of these, the brand is Kuhn-Rikon, you can adjust it to fit all the way down to a twist off bottle cap....it's about $25, but has saved my rear MANY times...YMMV, but it's possible that it would to what @cats5365 described.
I have a couple of new jars from WL, but did not notice if they had that same cap.
I can check tonight and see if it helps/works.

Your opener wouldn't work on the dropper bottles that usually give me the most trouble. Some of my juices come in bottles that don't catch properly, so I go for the toolbox. I use the pliers on some of those bottles that have the plastic rings that won't always split apart.

Some people's children have a rather large, Husky, rolly box in their kitchen, so there is always a tool handy when the situations arises.
My brother's friends were all jealous about the Husky box because their spouses insisted the tools had to live the the garage. Mine is the special edition Black/gold one so it does look a lot nicer than the red ones. :D

Yep, I know exactly what you're talking about.
LoL on the toolbox in the kitchen, my DH would do that...in a heartbeat.
....if I'd let him.

The plastic bottle was relatively thick. The childproof top was the kind that seems to only turn in one direction and has a clicking sound while it turns around.

I recognize the pic of the hand holding that WL nic bottle, the nailpolish, and the piece of fabric in the lower right corner. That's ChelsB's...isn't it? Just curious. :D I think I remember getting that pic in a PM from her when she was first starting DIY.

I have no idea. I google-imaged for "Wizzard Lab" and those two were the ones I chose for this thread.

If the caps aren't locking together properly, I have a selection of slip joint (or channel lock) pliers that I can use to put enough pressure on the outer cap to squish it against the inner cap and hold them together enough to make them turn together and open the container that way.
I scored this a winner, as that would be my first go-to with a stripped child proof or otherwise stuck lid. Pictures for the less handy among us.

Just a suggestion: If the channel lock pliers fail, find a pipe wrench that will fit. With channel locks you have more control over the crushing aspect, since it comes from squeezing the handles. A pipe wrench crushes down more the harder you pull it. Best make sure you're turning it the right way. As a rule, lefty loosey righty tighty.

Obviously either tool could create a secondary problem with containers made of glass. In other words, do it in a basin and wear some thick leather gloves. Plastic, on the other hand, is gonna get torn up no matter how you do it. So more risk making a mess versus cutting up your hands in that case.

Having access to tools can be a blessing or a curse sometimes. It's fair to say that, the more you end up putting into it, the more likely the result will be something broken or a big mess. You've been warned LOL.

I used a hack saw to saw the lid off. Not recommended.
If you had video, that could have made you a Youtube millionaire.

Not judging, as I have been known to employ some creative problem solving at times myself. So definitely laughing with you, not at you.

Just saying, the more I thought about sawing the lid off a bottle, the funnier it got. Sorry I can't help it LOL.

Use the blue one on gorilla bottles, I hate those bottles but my neighbor insists on it for his eliquid he gets from me

@Baditude sorry I made you tell.......
That's ok. Luckily I have a sense of humor. :thumb:

TRUE STORY: This past summer I was at an outdoor concert vaping in the designated "smokers area", when a drunken older lady came up to me and asked me did I have a light.

"No mamh, I don't smoke".

She looks at my vapor, and asked "What is that then?"

"It's water vapor, from my electric cigarette".

Confused and still not convinced, she said, "Sure it is. How do you light that thing up?"

. Priceless

If you had seen me trying to get the top cap off an RBA,you would have died laughing. I used:
    3 types of pliers
    vise grip
    those kitchen grabbie things
    putting in freezer
    putting in hot water
    tapping with a hammer
    rubber bands

finally put it on a coil master and twisted/pulled with pliers. It came off but also took the adapter thing off the coilmaster.

You could have gone all McGyver on it. Punch two holes in the top of the cap with a hammer and a large nail, feed some plastic tubing through one hole to the bottom of the bottle, and siphoned it off. because if you have a hammer, every problem looks like a nail.

I have a SMM Serpent that fights me,,, channel grips to hold the base and needle nose to unscrew the chimney section,,,, top 3 in flavor if not top 1,,, but she is an absolute drunk with ejuice! ----which is fine,,, except for the tools I have to use to refill her! High maintenance drunk!

Regarding creative ways to remove a lid...

I may or may not have recently discovered that Aleve comes in 100 ct bottles with a non-childproof cap that is coated with rubber to make it grippier to make it easier for old people to open.

I want to say that discovery was purely coincidental.
