What's that old saying?

"If I'd know I would live this long, I would have taken better care of myself!"

Or maybe have had someone else around to encourage and pushed "Me" to do better during "My" Youth every time I messed-up . . .

I gotta a friend with similar maladies and he's on a cocktail of medications too numerous to count. Instead of those weekly pill organizers, his wife uses small buckets for him. Looks like that bozo buckets game. My buddy is so pickled he cant even get drunk anymore. He doesn't miss it either because he's happier where he's at.

Well I had way more then 1 friend on a "Cocktail" of Med's since 1976 and for a variety of different medical issues . . . AND - Although a majority of them (179+ stopped counting) had succumbed to their medical problems . . . Thankfully things have changed, since those days and those cocktails only have a few ingredients in them now . . .

AS for the pill containers, use to use "Bead Boxes" from art store (mentioned in previous post) , Larger Bread Box for all the Morning PIlls - Smaller Bead Box for - of course all the bedtime pills. Use to take 2-3 hours to get them all loaded up for the month . . . Thankfully that all stopped about 2 years ago when the Pharmacy offered to do this - "Calendar Paks" for those on the go - for "Me" for FREE of charge. That only leaves a few other pills I have to take mid-day or before dinner and before bed.

Oh Yea - I stopped drinking any Alcohol years ago - even a sip of wine w/ a special dinner throws "Me" off for a few days . .

I don't drink that often anymore (probably like 3x per year), it's just no fun any longer because with the cocktail of meds I am on I cannot get drunk either.... No buzz at all which sucks. I'll drink like 12 drinks and then just black out and go to sleep, never achieving anything even remotely close to the slightest buzz (probably a pretty good sign that drinking while on my meds is most likely very dangerous like the labels say. lmao).

The funny thing is that I know all this, yet I still try a few times a year anyway. lol

I assume that the reason you just pass out is because of the alcohol interacting with your meds. If so, doesn't that scare you that maybe next time it will be more serious than just "passing out"?

Yeah, it's totally due to the meds, prior to that I had no problem attaining a buzz or getting drunk and could down 18 beers if it was a full day at the beach without an issue (I'm 230lbs). At the time I just view the blacking out and going to sleep as my body's way of stopping me before it gets too dangerous... like a safety switch. lol (Which sounds pretty stupid saying it out loud, because it should scare me. smh). Like I said, I don't even know why I bother, it's no fun if you cannot get at least a buzz.

One day last week I got a sale e-mail from Wizard labs, so I took a look it it. I am not sure why, because I was not really in need of any flavorings. Anyway on the linked page was an announcement, that any orders that they receive from states that have a flavor ban in place will be canceled. From my understanding the flavor bans are only for finished e-liquids, not for concentrated flavorings.
So this took me by surprise, I have tried sense then to find that page again, and failed. I have always heard that flavorings would always be available, because they are also used in food and candy making. I have never really trusted that statement, and through out many years I have tried to stock up on a variety of flavorings. I hope this is not a hint of what we have to look forward too.

It's call CYA. Since Wizard labs is technically a nicotine seller and therefore easily "classified" as an e-cigarette seller by the gods in the govt, they have to be careful with things like flavor bans.

This is why I suspect ecigexpress changed their name to flavorjungle and stopped selling nic. They are now positioned as a flavor concentrate retailer - nothing to do with vape or ecigs. You can use those flavor concentrates in other things, not just vape juice. (however I will say I think they are doing a couple of things wrong, but that's just my opinion and not relevant).

Yeah, I would not get away with stating "I buy my flavors from them to make candy", because I have also bought quite a bit of nicotine from them. So they are just covering their :censored:, I really like wizard labs for ordering flavors and BCF also. I just thought I should share this. :|

Yeah, that's only because they sell nicotine too... Other companies have went the other way and dropped nicotine and now only sell flavorings.

Those flavorings are used in food, they cannot ban that.

Bull city saw the writing on the wall a long time ago. They used to be called bull city vapor but changed their name to bull city flavors. Gremlin did the same thing recently.
ecigexpress dropped their nicotine, changed their name and now only sell flavors if I am remembering correctly.

I really hope this is wrong as I DO use my flavorings for other things too.
Strawberry, or peach or apricot in butter for sweet rolls...flavoring cream cheese...flavored iced tea...even my water.
I have ordered a lot from them in the years...flavoring AND nic.
Would hate to have to take them off the shopping at list...supporting a Florida supplier etc...

I hope for their customers' sake they take the flavors off their nic site and form a totally new entity and website dedicated only to flavorings and whatever else that cant really be tied solely to vaping.

I suspect that if nicotine stopped being available the demand for those flavors specifically made for vaping would go way down. Not sure if the demand from people with freezers full of nic would be enough to support vendors like Bull City and WL.

Finding suitable flavors from a general flavoring supplier would work for us but probably be a little harder. One shot flavors might not be available. We would have to figure out which ones didn't contain oil. Might have to figure out new ingredients with new names to make our favorite recipes. Go back to school on the percentages we use. Etc.

I could be wrong since I'm not a DIY veteran, but weren't the flavors sold by places like capella, TFA, FW, etc all available before vaping or at least DIY juice was a thing?

If I were a a ejuice flavor company, aside from changing to a flavor-only company, I would be...

  • looking to diversify my flavor stock with flavors that can't be used for vaping.
  • separating the different kinds of flavors into usage categories (but not a vape category lol)
  • posting recipes for dishes where the recipes contain their flavors (especially the vape-friendly flavors).
  • Posting whatever non-vape uses the vape friendly flavors have.
  • never answer emails about vaping or only answering back with a canned "we do not suggest using any flavorings for anything other than the stated uses on our site", but would answer questions about ingredients as long as the sender of the message never mentions vaping, etc.
things like that.

But I ain't no business or legal guru.

Maybe so. At the least though our vendors save us some work by filtering out the flavors that are suitable for vaping. Might be worth checking the original manufacturers sites and see if the ones we use are available. That's probably the case for TFA and some others. I think some of the vendors we use build their own flavors though I don't really know. I just got some Shisha Vanilla from Inawera, are they vape specific?
