How do people so stupid convince so many that they are the right people to run this country?

B/c they promise everything for free. I don't think most of them realize just what it will end up costing them in the long run, and I don't mean just money wise.
If our voluntary shut in is hard now just think when it becomes mandatory. Maybe for no reason(in the future) In fact, some have even been arrested. OMG. Totally unconstitutional. If the left gets in I no longer wish to live in this country. Problem is where would we go?

The thing that gets me is here in Kalifornia they are arresting people for not wearing masks but are letting criminals out of jail.

They are doing the same in my county. Some of them are being released to to drug rehab "half-way" houses but the majority will be released into the public, "overseen" by probation officers.

And now for the "kick in the head" moment...​

My county has less than 50 known cases and 1 death (that's what is being published anyway).

And in the 5 surrounding counties, less than 80 known cases and 7 deaths.

Smell a rat yet? I sure as he|| do.

But the seeds are still here.

I don't think they are stupid, they just have glaring ignorance in many fields. But they are smart enough to lie and convince enough voters.
If they put the collective good ahead of their personal interests and their party interest, we would not be in this mess.
But in this country, it is about pleasing those who paid for you.

Really wish I though I was wrong on this but life is the greatest teacher. Nothing is free, ever. There is always a cost of some sort whether it is financial, or moral or physical. Especially when it a government entity making the promises.

Younger generations have this false sense of entitlement. I blame the parents mostly. I guess its just easier for the parents to allow the tv to guide their kids since most have to work 2 jobs just to get by.

Not sure why you would think seceding from the union would be unconstitutional? ALL States are sovereign, having their own constitution, so to speak. Joining the 'union' which is the 'United States" is all voluntary. Each is free to govern in its own way by their own laws. Which is why the current president is insistent that they each lead their own in this virus fight.
