DIY is mostly about confidence. Once you know you can do it the rest is easy. Put a measured amount of your favorite pre mix in a small bottle (count drops). Make a small batch of unflavored with the same % of PG, VG, and nic as the premix. Add the same number of drops of the unflavored to the pre mix, shake, and vape. The flavor will be muted. Keep vaping it and taste buds will get more sensitive until you don't notice the difference. What you've done is cut the price of the pre mix 50%.

My DIY uses 1% of an all in one flavoring, Cupacino by Capella (120 ml bottle for $14 makes 12,000 ml of my 1% mix which should last about 5 years?) 1% flavoring is just enough to cover the taste of the other ingredients. The low percent means no flavor fatigue so it's the only flavoring I need. (Smokers stick to one brand, right?) I started mixing timidly, syringes with blunt tips. Today I use graduated glass cylinders, 5, 10, 25, 50, 100, 250 ml, and make 200 ml per batch.

I plan the stock pile of mods and atomizers by assuming either one should last 2 years of continuous service. Just in case I'm wrong, double the number. (Also double my forecast for nic.) My plan is for 10 years, may be 20.

I started mixing with Bill’s 100DT. I moved to syringes but it was a pain so I finally got a scale and wish I had from the beginning. It’s so much easier and no syringes to clean.

That's another thing about DIY that's so great, IMO. People can choose from various methods (and the supplies needed for them) to actually make their DIY, and all can still achieve success. The method used for measuring the ingredients is just a personal preference, chosen for a variety of reasons by most people. I'm glad you found that using a scale is easier for you. It must definitely make DIY more fun for you now.

I also started DIY by doing Bill's 100DTT. I did the test on each new recipe I tried. I used syringes and blunt needle tips back then, and nearly 5 years later...I'm still happily using them. I keep syringes in various sizes and 14 gauge blunt needle tips onhand. Cleaning them, after making 50mL-120mL batches of 2 or 3 recipes at 1 time...still only takes me about 2 minutes. I'm OK with that.

if you are logged into tapatalk through "ECF" log out, delete that, and add "EC Forum" which is the refreshed version
if it asks you to auto log in, say no and log in manually

that works for most

I received my PG/VG and 500 gr. scale yesterday. Waiting on the nic and flavors now. Of course I can't leave the scale alone. I have to go around the house weighing everything I can find. Good thing the neighbor's cat weighs more than 500 grams or I'd weigh him too. I'm such a child!

You are going to have so much fun mixing. Probably end up with 500 bottles.
