I figured I better start a new thread for this.

OK, the concept would be to clip the glass tube in a fuse block like mount so you could remove it to clean or replace the wick and/or coil. The bottle will need a one way valve so the fluid doesn't run back down the tubing and a vent hole so heat and cold doesn't push the fluid out automatically. I didn't have the wire and feed tube holes sealed yet so that would be done with silicone or putty. I am working on some Vycor glass tubing samples for a hi-temp and thermal shock resistant atty tube. The finger end of the tube will also have a removable silicone plug with a reduced air hole so to catch any excess fluid the wick doesn't absorb. I think the fluid tube would be better coming in at the bottom near the finger end of the tube to keep it away from the coil, or use a metal tube to go in to the atty.

Go ahead guys...fire away!!

I Like It. The right size feed line + proper restriction + normal sucking = perfect vape.

Balance is everything. You know yin and yang.

How is this for a cleaned up diagram. Sorta messy though. Of course a finger would do the same thing as the air stop switch, just run the air feed through the case somewhere. I tried this with all 1/64 alum tubing and sucking/drawing on a 3/32 alum tube and it would not draw juice in unless I blocked the 1/64th air tube. 1/64 OD alum is probably around 1/32 ID.

Maybe instead of a plunger one could have a screw type restrictor that could be set for different viscositys and provide a small constant drip.

You have a very interesting original idea nicotime.

I did ponder the idea of a restricted orifice same as a idle jet screw in a carburetor, but I just want to keep this as dirt simple as I can. Main reason I want glass is that you would be able to see what is going on in the atty also. The tubing I was using for the juice supply is the .042" OD Teflon I had laying around and it doesnt take a whole lot of suction to get the juice to flow. It would need to be fairly thinned juice though...and I have found the thinner means less gunk in the atty.

I found some fuse blocks at RS the other day that will work nicely to hold the glass tube...IF I can ever get the tube. If anyone knows of a source for Vycor, Duran or heavy wall Pyrex tube at least...please let me know.

Thanks for the input perlion....Beast, I hope you haven't hurt yourself thinking yet.LOL

Still playing with that bottle stopper tube? It still amazes me your were able to drill those holes without it breaking.
Good sound concept there nico. Yea, if you could get a good balance between air and liquid flow you'll have it licked.

I have some 1mm ID 2mm OD and 3mm ID 5mm OD fused quartz tubing on the way (Purchased from here). Don't know if it will handle the heat but will find out shortly. If it works I'll send you some in the mail. "Good thing I saved that address".:D

I lost my contact list from corning glass, will have to get info from a coworker on Monday to see if I can get some tubing from them.

Nice job, vape-on....
