I just went through this thread and compiled a list of the recipies for my DB.

You can view it HERE

An example:

If I found a recipe that was ambiguous, I did not include it. Also if a flavor was not listed on the TFA site it probably wasn't included either. Whenever possible I have used the "official" flavor names. If you posted a recipe and it is not included let me know, but, please check your post and see if I used the "official" name.

As I include recipes, I will "like" your post to let you know it has been included.

If you are reading this post and the PDF link is dead it means I have updated the report later within this thread.

You're welcome. :p Here is another recipe I have been working on
Pineapple Tea
Pineapple.....8%
Earl Grey.....2%
EM...............1%
It really doesn't need to steep long....maybe a day or two....or a long hot bath
The trouble I was having was with the Earl Grey. The first batch I mixed was at 15%
MAN....could have stripped paint with it!!8-o VERY STRONG flavor.
enjoy :p

I've noticed almost all the Coffee-esque flavors do better at lower percentages... but, that's my tastebud's opinions...I tend to like the coffee vapes, but using them at the percentages given as a baseline seemed a bit too high to me as well. Good luck with the lower percentage Capp!

Heck, even some of the tobacco percentages seem a bit strong for me, but I have a chef's pallete (which helps, since I am a sous chef :p) I'm still trying to dial in on the D-RY4 percentage.

I've had decent luck at a meager 5% on the DRY4, but its lacking something.
As always, YMMV.

JL,

Just read a post in a different thread. The poster contends the TPA Cappuccino gunks up coils and really doesn't do well with direct heat of any kind. I found that very interesting, because after I tried my new Cappuccino and dumped it, I loaded the tank with a different flavor and had to dump it to clean my coil. Brand new coil, by the way.

JL, I'm going to replace the Cappuccino I've been trying with coffee. I'm shooting for coffee/caramel. Have you a rough estimate on a starting percentage for TPA coffee? My Cappuccino recipe disaster was:

8% TPA Cappuccino
3% TPA Caramel
1% EM

Opinion, please, on a starting percentage for coffee in place of the Cappuccino.

THANKS!

Just read through all 40 pages and subscribed .... great thread!! here are a couple of my mixes:
Cranapple
Cranberry: 13%
apple : 4%
em : 1%
Nice light vape .... easy to chain vape

Mango/Watermelon
Mango :12%
Watermelon :3%
Tasty, the watermelon comes into play in the exhale ...sweet enough on it own.

Wow... The more I vape the Cranapple the more I like it. Again, thank you so much! Got any other little gems you'd be willing to share?

I have to get some Mango now to try the Mango/Watermelon recipe.

I suggest tpa coffee around 10%, 15% of you like it strong. I have a friend who says he drinks coffee all day with 6 spoonfuls of instant coffee in his cup so i make his at 22% and surprisingly it did not go meh. I get a genuine taste that comes through even when mixed with other flavors.

I am trying t determine the difference in tatse of ry4, double and Asian. I prefer to not have tobacco in the forefront and honestly I like it to be less evasive than the other two flavors in ry4. Anyone that has used these three can you give a run down on difference in tatse? I will likely get all three but would prefer to have an idea so I don't waste nic liquid.

As for the coffee flavoring substitution, I'd say to try it around 5-10% perhaps, just to get a baseline. Remember, you can always add to it if its too weak, but its much harder to take away flavoring... I know that the TPA caramel cappucino flavor is REALLY strong, but I don't think the straight coffee is, and like was stated, some folks like it as high as 22%.

I used the coffee flavor originally, but have since gotten some super concentrates from Vaping Zone, and I tend to use that coffee more just because the VZ SCs are a bit simpler to work with.

It really boils down to how strong you like your coffee in the mornings :w00t: I personally LOVE a cup of strong coffee, and like my vapes similar.

The coffee (clear) is really strong if this is what you intend to use. I mixed a 10% bottle and had to add it to some premix coffee to settle it down. I'd say 5% for a start.
From the TPA/TFA site
"...this is a very strong flavor that is like black, unsweetened strong coffee,
do not try to evaluate just by smell!!
it should also be used at less than 5%"

I clicked on the link and only get a blank page with the file name at the top left of the screen. Do I need to do something, log into something, to be able to see the file. I am very interested in DIY recipes as I am looking to start DIY.

Thanks!

Never mind, logged into Google Drive and there is it!! Wonderful! thanks for sharing:D

Just for grins I just clicked the link without logging into ECF. What it did was open a new window behind ECF. After logging in it opened a window on top of ECF. I normally use the center wheel which opens what I want in a new tab. You should not have had to login to Google docs to see the file.

I have been mixing my own juice for a little over a month using LorAnn flavors. I just got in an order of 12 TFA flavors. One of my favorite flavors has been Razzleberry, 60% black berry and 40% Raspberry. Well not knowing TFA has a Raspberry and a Raspberry (sweet), the vendor I ordered from only carried the Raspberry, I got the Raspberry. Man this is the funkiest perfumy taste I have ever made. Mixed 10% flavoring in 5 ml 70/30 18mg base I made up with a couple drops of EM. I even added base to 10ml making flavor percent 5%. My question is, does anyone know if I can add more EM to compensate for not having the Raspberry Sweet? or should I try some stevia (I have that also)? Maybe it needs to steep a while longer? I heat steeped it twice in a cup of hot water shaking occasionally which usually works with my LorAnn mixes. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
From what I understand it's all about time in steeping. Depending on the flavor it could be right when its mixed to a week or more. I read somewhere that all the quick steep methods don't really work(maybe they do I just wait). EM is a very mild sweetener/ flavor enhancer. FA sells a sweetener or if you have another sweetener you like you can add after mixing but it will throw off the ratios of the nic and pg/vg but shouldn't be by much. If you just put a couple drops of em its not going to give you much effect at all. I usually add em and a sweetener for sweet vape flavors as my wife loves hers sweet. Hope it helps
