Can you read a recipe and "know" what it will taste like? Even close?
Most of the time I can do this pretty well. I've made so many recipes over time that I can often make a recipe on paper, test it out, often several times, and that first recipe was "the ONE." It's odd.
When you guys post your recipes, I study the percentages really carefully. I instantly compare them to my mental data base of flavorings and juices and can get a really good idea if I will like it or not, and what it likely tastes like. I don't know when I made the jump from clueless to percentage juice maven, but it happened somewhere along the line. So, I love when you post your recipes. Describing them as tasting like some commercial juice I've never tried never works for me, because I started to DIY my first month of vaping. It doesn't take long to figure out that you can make juice a whole lot less than you can buy it. Startup is a real PITA, and expensive, and growing your inventory of flavors and glassware is also expensive, but eventually, ok keeping it real......I spend way more on DIY than on commercial juice, but at least I can make what I like.
When you get down to about 2 ounces of flavoring, do you panic? I do. I hate it. I have a problem. If I use a flavor frequently, I eventually order the 16 ounce bottle. When those get down to about 8 ounces, I panic again. Whiskey Tango Foxtrot? It's like getting down to my last pack of smokes, or something. This is absolutely absurd too, because I have at least 10 gallons of juice around for me to vape at any time. I'm not exaggerating.
I even panic when my VG gets down to 2 gallons or so. I know.....I'm seeing someone....
Just wondering if anyone else feels this way?
