Merry Christmas indeed!

I finally got to play around with my new Vanilla Cupcake, and mixed something rather pleasant. I haven't seen it in many recipes, so I figured I'd share.

Vanilla Cupcake 10%
Vanilla Swirl 3%
Whipped Cream 3%
Bavarian Cream 2%
Cotton Candy 2%

It's not half bad! I tried a vanilla cupcake from ITC, and didn't find it to my liking; it reminded me of the alcohol smell associated with vanilla extract, and my mix doesn't have it (although it really seems like they're using the TFA flavor). However, I could see myself vaping this occasionally (it's not really for me).

It's just a first iteration, and I've only sampled it a bit. But I'm not really after anything specific, so I'm happy with where it is. Creams and vanillas, can't go wrong :D

Of course, I'm gonna throw some strawberry at it one of these days and see what happens; now that's something I'd be interested in!
Vanilla Cupcake? Use it all the time. Wonderful in cakes, twinkies, etc. Add fruits too. Try it with lemon. Wonderful. Good luck! :toast: :D

Hi Bill,

I wanted to modify your Cream Fantastico and use mango instead of blueberry. Would I just replace the mango with the blueberry or also the strawberries and cream?

I would probably try it both ways in a quick 100DT test. Thinking about it, I might first make the mango alone, sweet spot for me at 11%, but you will need to verify this to your tastes as well. I do like the complexity of the two or more fruits in this intense cream mix. Makes some very interesting possibilities. Remember, I use Cream Fantastico as a stone/base (it's own separate flavoring), for use with other strong, strong single flavors, like licorice, or red hots, among others. So far, seems to work well with just about everything, so don't be afraid to play around with it, use some 100DT tryouts, and create your own unique flavorings. The Cream Fantastico is great for drippers. Take any normal dripping juice, drip and vape. Now, immediately add the CF, drip and vape, and see if that doesn't take you somewhere special. This is how the CF is often used, as a mix/dripper additive with other strong flavorings. Just does a great job of mediating even the strongest juices, and reduces strong nicotine (overwhelming), as well. Give it a go. Please let us know, particularly if you run across something interesting. Good luck! :toast: :D

I'll give it a shot. Forgot to mention that I don't have any sweetener. Hopefully if I leave it out I can still get a good result.

Good to know about the steep time on that flavor, like i said i've never used it,so now if i ever do,i know to just hide it in the back of the cabinet for a while haha.Since you've used it,does it continue to have that black licorice taste that briandress mentioned or does that go away?If it retains that taste then i know not to waste my money on it,as i hate black licorice.

No the taste you describe is not present after a long steep in my experience.

Maybe try it with cotton candy, if you have that. As Mom mentioned recently, the sweeteners and cotton candy add so much to these mixes, that it's not the same without them by a significant margin. Good luck!

I made two mixes tonight.

1) Cream Fantastico (No Sweetener)

8% - Blueberry Extra
7% - Strawberries & Cream
5% - Vanilla Swirl
4% - Bavarian Cream
4% - Cotton Candy (EM)

2) Mango Cream Fantastico

8% - Mango
7% - Strawberries & Cream
5% - Vanilla Swirl
4% - Bavarian Cream
4% - Cotton Candy (EM)
2% - Marshmallow

In both mixes, there's a note that just doesn't agree with me. It might be the vanilla swirl. I'll need to vape each flavor individually to find out what it is.and either dial it down or replace it with another cream like whipped cream or sweet cream.

Ok I'm a little perturbed. The main thing I was looking forward to in this order I just opened was Acteyl Pyrazine. I really wanted to try it out especially with the DRY4 plus I ordered the regular RY4. Um ya NOPE I didn't order it - ugggghhhh come on! For some reason there are 2 Green Apples though? It's not a mix up on there part I would guess because the order slip reads just exactly that.

So now what? Another order? I can't...I'm so dissapointed. Does anyone want some green apple for a tiny bit of AP? I know AP lasts forever so I'm not in need of much LOL!!

I can't just order AP thru wizard labs the shipping would kill me. Any other options?

Oh and I made the Cream Fantastico this morning - vaping it right after mixing it's quite good. It's the only mix I've ever made where the Blueberry Extra worked. I can see how it works though as the Blueberry is way in the background. You really hardly taste it - I wonder after a day or 2 if it'll come thru a little more.

I forget who said that the Blueberry Extra and all the TFA flavors that are listed as Extra are super strength flavors. That may be the case for the others but I'm having a hard time with the Blueberry - I can hardly taste it so I up the % but then when I hit like 12% it turns to perfume.

This is the one I've heard is the best. I normally just use the Planet of the Vapes one which works great - toy van use up to I think it's either 7 or 8 flavors plus you can save your recipes.
Just reading the other post about them losing their recipes made me nervous. It's time to get a notebook and write it all down just in case!
I was lurking around some Facebook group and I guess some guy came out with his own app called Liquix (or I think that's it) I know ppl were saying you can list all your flavors and of course save recipes with it. Not sure what else it does.
I can get .................... on my phone and I really like it. I entered all my flavors and it can spit out recipes that match. I'm kinda at the point where I don't really go by others anymore but I do sometimes use them as templates or for ideas.

K -- 1 more thing Bill Bill Bill. I wanna make your Cream Fantastico but I know you said u use it as a stone - it's fine just to make it by itself right? Or is it too strong?

Sent from Tapatalk?

Cream Fantastico is a finished flavoring, a lovely cream, imho. Makes a great stand alone, or additive, for me, anyway. :toast: :D

Sometimes substitutions work, sometimes they don't. Sometimes they require more time to "settle down."

I put recipes together that taste good right out of the can to me. So, a change to those recipes could change the flavor notes, requiring steeping, perhaps, or further testing. I use the 100DT method to constantly change percentages until I find my sweet spot. The sweet spot, and different flavorings will vary slightly from person to person. By making only 100 Drops of any given recipe, it's a simple matter to add or subtract percentages, ingredients, etc. to suit my/our tastes. Testing via 100DT is essential, particularly with complex mixes.

I was a bit worried about the mango and strawberry combination in that mix. Did you try one without the strawberry? Also, regarding vanilla swirl, it's the sweetest of the TFA vanillas. Hard to say what might be creating the off-note, unless you break-it down and reconstruct. Also, keep in mind that if you are going for another flavoring such as a Danish, a pie, a shake, a candy, a chocolate, or what have you, I wouldn't start with cream fantastico and make changes, I would start with the other flavoring designs for those juices (see blogs and TFA thread for a wide variety of recipes), and not cream fantastico, myself. Anyway, Merry Christmas/Happy New Year and Good Luck! :toast: :D

I bet it's the EM^..I could be wrong though.

+1

Cotton Candy is EM, but not all EM is cotton candy, depending on percentages and preparation. I only use cotton candy and don't use EM crystals because it can yield inconsistent results for me. May work great for others, and probably does. Would EM be easy to create an offending note? I agree with you that it easily can and does, and why I use only finished cotton candy in my recipes. :toast:

4% seemed a bit high to me. I wouldn't go above 1-2% max. It seems to impart a chemically type flavor if used in excess.

I use 10% cotton candy in my ADV. It's wonderful. But, trying to emulate that with crystals has never worked for me. So, I believe it may be the mix of the EM, as a substitution for cotton candy that is the problem, imho. I've heard this same thing for a couple of years now. I recommend the TFA cotton candy as the better flavoring over the EM crystals. :2c:
