No problem.

Smocha
Inawera Cappucino 2%
Inawera Coffee tobacco 2.5%
Inawera Virginia Tobacco Absolute 2.5%
CAP Hazelnut v2 2.5%
TFA Vanilla Swirl 2%
TFA Milk Chocolate 3%
TFA Dbl Chocolate-Clear 3%
CAP SweetCream 5%
TFA Malted Milk 1%
TFA Sweetener 1.5%

Comes to 25% flavoring. But it gunks like there's no tomorrow -- though less, since I switched from the DblChoc-Dark to the DblChoc-Clear. I can get a week out of my wicks in the kayfun I put this in, but only because I don't vape it much; a few hits in the morning, a few hits after meals. The rest of the time I vape my strawberries and cream.

If you don't care for sweet coffee, you might prefer it with no, or less, sweetener. I'm told this is very chocolatey, but honestly I don't really taste that -- I seem to have a tastebud-blindspot with chocolate flavored vapes. Or the coffee and tobacco flavors just hide the chocolate taste from me. I've also tried a variation of this recipe, using Inawera Deluxe TDM, but that's still a work in progress, not as good as the recipe above.

Andria
Thanks very much. I was hoping for the ideal two-flavor recipe. How naive of me!

I take it Inawera is the flavoring company in Spain?

The State of Confusion
My 2 :2c: worth regarding other manufacturers of flavors:

Flavors come in several varieties, consistencies and mixtures, etc.

The one thing that we have noticed over the years of mixing is that consistently TFA makes what we would consider more of what are BASE flavors, not extracts.

That is to say that if you notice most (not all) of the TFA flavors are translucent to clear in consistency.
(Not their concentrates, these are different).

While many other companies flavors are more opaque (you cannot see through them), as many are in essence extracts from the actual sources of the flavors.

Now then there is nothing bad about other companies flavors as some are very good, but when using them especially the ones that are opaque it is very common that they gunk up atomizer coils as most contain organic particulate, or inorganic particulate.

Either way figure if a flavorings from ANYBODY is opaque, it has some sort of particulate in it, which WILL equal residue when heated, reduced, etc., which will gunk in your atty!

The chemist in me speaking...LOL:w00t:

Just my 2 :2c: :toast: :vapor:

Interesting....I find that most foreign flavorings have a lot of particulate in them, not necessarily bad, but it does gunk up one atty' rather badly...IMHO
I haven't had any problems, and, I also use the Shisha.
Now that I think about it I did swap out the coil near the end of a tank of Shisha Strawberry, but I just figured the wick was shot...
I think Andria claims it gunk's her coils, but then she uses a lot higher % of the strawberry and other products than I do.

Shisha Strawberry is perfectly clear, but they say it's "organic" flavoring; in itself it's quite sweet. Between the sweet and the organic, yes, it's a gunker, but I can't imagine swapping out my whole coil just because the wick is gunked; I just dry-burn and re-wick.

The gunking could also be from all the other junk in the recipe:

Strawberry & Cream (Lite)
Inawera Shisha Strawberry 15.5%
TFA DX Bavarian Cream 5.5%
TFA Vanilla Swirl 4.2%
CAP Sweet Cream 1.8%
TFA Sweetener 2%
TFA Sour 0.5%

"Lite" because I've reduced the flavoring to some extent, about 5% in everything except the strawberry, the sweetener, and the sour; the strawberry was reduced about 3.5%-4%, the sweet left as it was in the original recipe, and the sour just slightly increased. There's also 5% WTA in the mix, which I think also increases gunking. I deal with the gunking because dry-burning and re-wicking is a very minor deal; waiting around for something to "steep" is just an exercise in How To Drive Andria Crazy. Or cause a lot of wastage, because I'd just forget about it and it would end up, 6 months down the road, getting tossed.

I find that I need to replace my wick every day. I'm a heavy vaper, and I just love that new wick/coil vape after it breaks in. Usually, a dozen vapes and she's a ready to deliver the wonderful flavor of DIY.

By the way, I have never seen the attraction of dike's. Just not for me....not that there's anything wrong with it. And YES, there are flavor differences, but there are also work-arounds. See these recipes.

Regarding the dulce de leche, try lowering it to 1%. It's strong stuff.

Regarding the cheesecake, please let us know how that turns out. I've never been able to make it with TFA flavorings, and while I've posted cheesecake recipes in my blogs, I've never been happy with any of them.

Regarding the sweet cream replacement, I find that sweet cream and sweetener work well together to give one the inside of the twinkie flavoring. The Bavarian Cream and Cotton Candy work well together to give one the inside of a Danish pastry flavoring. While similar, they are actually quite different in taste. Both are very useful in many types of mixes.

Regarding other brand flavorings, we all use them. TFA is wonderful, but they have some gaps in their flavor pool, and you can't make a lot of popular flavorings without these other brand flavorings. Many come to mind, like oreo cookies, a weakness, and lemonade, a favorite, and whole categories including Lemon Cake (FW Yellow Cake!). So, please include your recipes that use other brands, that also include some TFA flavorings, as these are all appropriate, imho, for this thread. Please just keep posting recipes, as they help us all, and particularly, the new DIY'er.
Happy vaping, one and all! Good luck! :toast: :D

 Can you list the flavors you have to work with, and maybe we can help.
Or .. are you looking for recipes, so you can buy the flavors to make it
To be honest I'm not interested in doing up a multi-ingredient recipe. I might try mixing a tobacco flavor with a coffee flavor, but beyond that . . . well, I'm more a cook than a chef. Also, today is my ***BEGIN TO DIY DAY*** as of my reception of a shipment from Amazon, so I'll start out simply. Thanks for being helpful . . . all of youz.

Corn 'n' Cows
Rock 'n' Roll @Call Me Chuck! I started out with a lot of LorAnn and Capella flavorings. I have a couple that were actually o.k. with a single flavoring (Cap Chocolate/Coconut/Almond as an example - that straight in PG/VG/Nic tastes just like an Almond Joy candy bar to me.

I understand the philosophy of the TFA flavors - they aren't quite as concentrated as other bases, and I do note that I need some "supporting characters" to play with the "leads"

DIY is all about what tastes good to *YOU* However, be open to possibilities. I hope that you can find what you like in a simpler format. (If so, you need to share ;) )

Keep us posted of your progress....

Heh... dunno how it'll taste, but I bet it's BLACK. :D Mine never gets a chance to steep. :D (of course I only make enough for one month's light usage, since I'm still decreasing my WTA %.)

Andria
I found it last night, and surprisingly the color didn't change much, maybe just a tiny bit darker but you can still see through it if held toward a light.I haven't tasted it again yet, gotta clean out a tank, but it smells fantastic haha.
