I was just skimming through the master list here looking for advice on a flavor percentage, and I noticed the note on White Chocolate. It has sugar in it!? No wonder it killed my cartos so fast back when I was trying it out. It's really tasty, but I gave up on it long ago. I wonder if they could make a version with sucralose, or no sweetener.

Do think the TFA flavors from vendors other than TPA/TFA are watered down? I tried making some juice recipes that are listed in the forum that have the flavor percentages at 20%, so I started at 10% (weak flavor), then did some math to make it a perfect 15% flavor mix (still too weak), and finally 20% (again weak flavor).
The vendor was one stop diy

I've never ordered anything form One Stop, but, nothing is impossible. I get samples from Wizard Labs and large quantities from TFA directly. From experience WL does not dilute the flavorings...

I personally do not think they would do that or all the flavors that I wanted wouldn't be "out of stock". heehee View attachment 233167

Never had a bad experience or diluted products from Wizard Labs and I started off buying directly from Perfumer's Apprentice. The only issue is the out of stock thing, which was indicated above but their prices are really good so it's kind of to be expected. (plus I've moved onto concentrated flavorings anyway)

go to their website and look under DIY. It says... kits coming soon but it's already say their out of stock. View attachment 233175

Quick question on mixing though... when combining two flavors do you guys (and gals) basically cut the percentage of flavorings in half (say if you were going for a 50/50 mix of flavors) or rather adjust the recipe according to which flavors are more dominant (though it seems like this was done with the initial test)?

Edit: apologies if this was answered earlier in the thread, if so could you tell me where (about) to start... I don't mind searching through 10-20 posts.

That's a question I would like to hear some opinions on myself.

There is no simple answer AFAIK. Flavors can interact in unforeseen ways. Initial single flavor testing just tells you @ what % you like it. When you start mixing I would try a small batch (3ml) with those %'s to see how they react to each other. Then go from there. Good luck. Its all PFM to me.

I like to mix the flavors individually, in separate bottles, at the percentage that I like them at. Then I mix those in my tank (or a separate bottle if you don't use a tank). Vape some, adjust as room is made in the tank, and try to keep track of how much you've added of each flavor. It gives me a rough idea of the ratio that works. Then I try it as a real recipe, and start fine tuning.

I agree with both Glassmanoak and Paddymx- some flavors you have you will also notice that you only want hints of, say you where mixing Black Cherry and wanted a creamy after note, you would mix ii something like this:
Black Cherry 12%
Bavarian Cream 5%
Ethyl Malto 1%

you have the cherry as the dominate source and then are using the Bavarian cream and sweetener as highlight notes

or you could in a mix want a 50/50 and have the flavors marry in a stronger way, such as:
Honey 5%
Bavarian Cream 5%
1% Ethyl Malto

play and have fun, you could end up with a gem!

I should have toasted almond arriving today-- the list on this thread says 15%, on another thread several users of toasted almond that I respect on ECF said after 2% you get a burnt taste.

I will mix up some 2% and amend the list if it turns out well to reflect the lower %

:toast:

So I ran a batch at 2% and one at 15%- at 2% I caught clever back notes that would be good to add to other mixes like tobacco, caramel, or vanilla.

As a stand alone flavor I like it at 15% and did not notice a burnt taste or an over powering aroma or flavor of any type.............

so in conclusion I am going to leave the chart alone, I think folks will enjoy toasted almond at 15% due to taste being subjective- I like this flavor and can see where it will come in handy when mixing with other flavors.

:p
