I couldn't wait. Hibiscus was present at the recommended level, but, wanting a "knock your sox off" flavor, I increased to 1:8, or 12%. I just don't think I will be able to replicate Zinger, so I will have to stay with MBV for a few flavors. I am enjoying all of them, especially the hibiscus, rose, and violet. I'm going to try dripping some of them with the tea, and see what is best. I think I am going to prefer 1:8 for all flavors. Even the Juicy Fruit, was present at .5:8, but more enjoyable at 1:8.

There are times when I want delicacy, and times when I prefer something that will knock my sox off.
Increasing the percentage of flavoring SOMETIMES decreases the taste. ........Thanks, Hoosier!

Are you using them as single flavor mixes or in a mix of flavors? Some tfa flavors work well as stand alone and some require a mix, A top and bottom flavor note

I've got about a dozen flavors, trying them each alone first at low-end percentages. Will try mixing with whatever ones I don't care for as stand-alones, sounds like a plan, thanks.

TFA Key Lime - Not what I expected, tastes like Life Savors candy, too artificial. Taste when vaped is better than the smell, though. May be better in a mix. Haven't tried Pineapple yet but it has that same artificial candy smell in the bottle.

Is it just me, or do many of these fruit flavors seem to have this candy chemical taste? I use percentages always on the low end or lower than the lowest.

Same with flavors like coffee, tobacco, hazelnut, coconut - the "non fruit" flavors I call them, they all seem to have some underlying chemical-taste similarity, yet different than the fruit ones. I was hoping for flavors a little more distinct.

How long are you aging them?
A lot of the fruit flavors I've tried as stand alones and mixes had a chemical smell and taste to them until they sat for 3 weeks (after an hour in the ultrasonic).

Do you have experience being able to pick the fruits of the flavors you think are too artificial? My strawberries, raspberries and plums taste like artificial flavorings. Dehydrated you'd swear my strawberries and raspberries were candy except for the seeds. People are always asking if I add something to my apple cider. I'm wondering if stores selling such crap now-a-days has people not knowing what real fruit tastes like.

I grew up on a small farm and we had a huge garden. I've never tasted peas that good again. Amazing taste and texture.

Thank you for the list bump GMO!!
I seem to have been mixing at too strong a ratio (~15%) with poor results.
Id like to see the percentages for these 3 flavors:
Cantaloupe
Champagne
Sweet Cream

and I know its been covered, and I do not have EM at the moment, what should I add to bring my fruit flavors to fruition (pun intended). i have sweetener, sour and lemon juice.
Thank you, mixing wouldnt be possible for me with out all your helps and supports

For fruit flavors, 1 drop per 5ml or 10ml is recommended. Sweetener is just a personal preference, but usually 1 drop per 5ml.

Cantaloupe I wouldn't try on a bet, but I've used champagne at 5% with good results. Sweet Cream I've heard some people don't like at all. There are many dairy-typw flavors out there.. Bavarian Cream and Whipped Cream come to mind.
Good Luck and take it slow and easy.

i do love cantaloupe, and have tried a couple good ones, and a couple bad ones.

so to clarify, if i dont have EM i should just use the sucrose sweetener? not sour or lemon?

yes, use sweetener if you don't like the test batch. I wouldn't add sweetener at the beginning. Also, I would wait a few days before adding 1 drop of Real Lemon per 10ml. Add the lemon if your trial sample still tastes raw or unfinished, but only after a few days of steeping... never from the git go or until you are really familiar with the flavorings you have.

IMO, EM is used to slightly sweeten a mix, but it also dulls or mutes the flavors. Some trials need this but most don't. Personally, I never use it.
It can turn a bright, vesty mixture into a muddled mess.... just because you wanted a touch of sweetness. It's ok in some Tobacco mixes, IMO, but not in most of what I personally make.

What are top and bottom notes? Examples? Thanks.

I'm going to be a bit presumptuous and answer this question, in the interest of those reading this thread during the day.

Top note is the predominant flavor, and bottom note is the underlying flavor. For example you can make a mixture of Caramel Cappuccino at 0.5% and add Whipping Cream at 2% and CC would be the top note and WC the bottom note... nothing to do with percentages, just taste.
Sorry to be a hijacker

There's a "certain" expensive juice vendor out there supposedly coming out with a cantaloupe champagne flavor - maybe you can replicate it before it even comes out? :2cool:
sounds like something id dig!! i had a lemon champagne that i really enjoyed and was hoping in time to replicate!
I recognize you from the tucson vapers page! on which i go by Adam H. :) Maybe at the next vape meet we can kick it!

good deal, and thanks again GMO, i should just get your number for late night speed dial !!
heres my plan, gonna drip all the flavors today(tonight) and add a drop of sweetener to those that need it, and thin out the concentrations that i made too strong with a ml of PG, in 2-3 days after its blended a bit, ill start with a drop or 1/2 drop of lemon juice if needed.
