I can't like this either. Not trying to be an ... here, but if you are at all concerned with what is going into your lungs, dont smoke, don't vape, don't inhale anything you don't have to.
Nobody can answer your questions because there isn't enough data. Same as at one point in history where people thought inhaling burning tobacco (natural and organic) was harmless too!
Not looking for likes man, just saying. As long as it's better than cigarettes from what we know so far, I'm completely fine with that. Been a pack or more smoker a day for about 6 years and i love smoking, just don't want to smoke tobacco, due to the huge amount of other ingredients compared to say, 3 vg, pg, nic.

Gotcha,
Any flavoring is going to be a mixture of chemicals. We don't know exact formulas, but more research is being done. At the moment, we know diacetyl should be avoided (buttery, custard type flavors) also research diketones. I am sure as time goes on, we will learn more about what is safe and what is not but this is all relatively new.
I quit smoking over 13 months ago after 35+ years by vaping. Bought liquids for the first 3-4 months, then went DIY. I am now just idling along and maintaining with zero nicotine. But I am also planning on quitting completely sometime in the coming months.
Good luck with your journey, I hope your "quit" is as successful as mine has been.

    Somewhere between here and there
This I can tell you, after six years of vaping flavored liquids I still breathe, taste, and run better than I did six years ago as a smoker. I've only been doing DIY a few months or so but vendors are using the same types of flavorings we are for DIY. Abstinence is safe. Vaping is reduced risk just like Swedish snus is. Snus however has years of research behind it already. I feel confident that vaping will too in the future.

Same goes with my dad and he is better than ever. I should have him do a success story somewhere as well as everyone that actually used vaping to quit to make this movement more renown. Thank you!

So are those TFA, organic and natural? I'm looking for diy flavors and I want to have organic and natural flavors or I'm not flavoring mine. I just feel sketched out inhaling artificial flavors and what not.
Very few flavorings used in vaping are natural and organic.

they do exist. NF Organic at Ecig express and Flavorconcentrates brand are 2 that I know of.
Are they safer? I dunno, but they do tend to taste better to me.

My sister makes desserts to die for.

I read on weather.com that the pumpkin harvest was slim, and if you waited to buy pumpkin for t'giving day pies, there might not be enough, either fresh or canned. So I got a can of pumpkin a couple weeks ago, and a couple shortbread crusts. We got our turkey yesterday, a 6 lb breast for $11.30, instead of a 3 lb breast for 3.98/lb! My mama didn't raise any stupid chillun; we bought the 6 lb'er! :D This will be be the 29th t'giving that a) we've been married, and b) I've cooked the full dinner.

But I finally had to put away the can of pumpkin and the pie crusts, or they weren't gonna make it to t'giving. :D

I'm just glad t'giving is only a week away, because that can of pumpkin and the pie shells are calling my name loudly and insistently... not to mention that giant tub of whipped topping in the freezer. :D

I just want to say as a beginner diy, I want to thank you all for the help. Bill, your adv got me to start diy. I have been pouring over this thread forever it seems. Been making my own juice which I feel is better than getting ripped off with what I feel are now in superior juices. I want to write more, but for the moment I just want to throw out there I don't understand why people fight over the methods of mixing. Aren't we all in the same boat? Ex-smokers looking for a better answer? I've been cigarette free since May 2013 due to my mother in law turning me on to vaping. I just don't get the hatred in a lot of threads I read. Especially with the fda standing by with an ax. We are a community, we should act like one. My 2 cents.

I bought all my stuff last Friday too! I try to plan ahead because I hate waiting to the last minute and forget something. This way if I forgot something I have plenty of time to get it.

Pumpkin roll not too bad(sure better than my prior attempts!), but missing something-a bakery note I think, maybe needs a very, very small amount of the pumpkin spice(a strong one!) and maybe increase in pumpkin flavor...currently tastes like the filling aspect primarily, trying to put finger on what is lacking...made pumpkin cinnamon rolls with youngest son yesterday to figure out, they didn't last long in this house! Debating on what to add...oatmeal cookie at small amount since I don't really like, a cinnamon roll or Danish, inawera biscuit, a cookie flavor...already have fw yellow cake and cinnamon in it...maybe even captain cereal??? I don't have any gingerbread still so that's out....have to think and figure out...it's coming along, might not be a regular type of vape but something for holiday time and it's fun now that I'm not as frustrated with it anymore.

The only part we didn't buy yet are the "wheat" King's Hawaiian dinner rolls, so they wouldn't get stale. All the rest of the feast has already been gotten. :thumb: I'm getting antsy for it; I actually like to cook, and that feast gives me great satisfaction. :D

Has anybody ordered the 140 15ml bottles directly from TFA? for $172.00, Just seen this the other day, You would get most of thier flavors in one shot. to bad I did not see this when I started Diy. I am sure there are quite a few you might never use. That would be like $1.23 for each 15ml flavor plus what ever shipping is. You have to sign into order bulk sizes and on the end of the 3 page of professional they offer boxes of flavors. If I was just starting out and had the extra cash this looks like a pretty good way to check out most of thier flavors.

I'd heard about that, but I think the major issue newbies run into is the price. It'd be better if it was broken into packages of 35 or so and if you buy all 4 you'd have all the flavors. Like a package of fruits, a package of bakery, etc. I could afford to do it in chunks, but $172 in one fell swoop is most of a week's pay.

I knew they had that offer, but it didn't really interest me, too much I likely wouldn't likely try for the price...like mentioned above, smaller groupings in similar flavor families more appealing....bakeries, tropicals, creams, berries, beverages, cereals, stone fruits, nuts etc etc...10 flavors grouped together

I haven't mixed anything new if a few weeks. I've got three or four that have become regulars but have been less than motivated to experiment with new recipes.
I get in that same slump for months at a time.I'll find a few i really like, and that keeps me content for quite a while.I usually don't really start trying new stuff until i get completely burnt out on whatever i've been making at the time.

I've been giving temp control a try on the cloupor mini that I won. I can't decide if I like it or not. I started with titanium wire and am going to give nickel a try next. I switched from cinnamon Danish to peanut brittle and even at 500 it doesn't seem like I'm getting a strong enough hit with a .4 coil. Think I should try a lower resistance?

Yes. Try a .15 Ni200 and adjust your temp to 450. I'm no expert. I've just heard what works for other folks.
