I do a different variation on that recipe and use 2% French vanilla deluxe. It works well. The cotton candy would work too.
I don't have French vanilla, but I wonder if I could use my lovely vanilla swirl.

Thank you. Yeah, I usually use cotton candy as sweetener. I was wondering if over 3% is too high because I recently read that too much tends to mute flavors. What is your opinion on this? I'm really wondering. I don't think I've ever gone over 3% so I wasn't sure.
Toasted almond?
The max I personally use is 1.5% because it does mute other flavors, imo. YRMV
ETA: Let me correct myself. Out of the 15 flavors I make, I found 1 that I use 2.5%, 2 that I use 2%, 1 that I use 1.5% and the rest I use 1%.
Toasted Almond is very good, although it can be strong. I use it with fruits to give a crisp/dessert aspect without using graham or pie crust.
It's taken me weeks to get through this thread, and I still skipped a bunch of pages from the 300-500 range. This is my first post, though. So Hi, fellow nic-mixologists! I've learned a lot here and want to thank everyone, especially Bill, for sharing your triumphs, failures, and experience. I haven't done a 100DT yet but plan to soon as I start finding the right mix for chocolate. I do have a recipe to share, though. I call it Sweet Summer Storm.
French Vanilla II 10%
Blackberry 3%
Bavarian Cream 5%
Happy Mixing, Everyone!
I think I have seen that earl gray recipie too!So I tested all the flavors I made yesterday.... on a scale of five there was a 5, a 4, two 3s, a 1, and a 0.
I attempted to make an earl grey tea with honey and cream from a recipe I saw somewhere.... it was horrible. The tea was way too strong, honey slightly in the background, cream no where to be seen. I'm gonna leave what's left to steep for a week or so to see what happens and make a v2 as well. After thinking about it, and swishing my tongue with coffee to try to erase the flavor, I'm thinking 13% might have been too high on the earl grey....
The Lychee Cream and Snow Day clone were 5 and 4 respectively. Still gonna v2 them and see if they can't get better. I think there's a slight nuance between "hey this tastes pretty good" and "this is perfect, just the way I like it".
The Cinnapear and Bill's starburst just need a few tweaks, still coming in with respectable scores of 3. The OG recipe I did though, the Tahitian Dragon.... it needs work. I had to rate it a piddly 1 of 5... After only 24 hours, the strawberry had taken over and the dragonfruit and vanilla went underground.
I'm thinking I may need to make a few 1%, 2%, 3%, etc mixes of my various strawberries and potentially overpowering things to determine average starting points depending on what I'm trying to do. However... I'm not typically a patient person... eh, bumbling it is. I have a tongue of dolomite, I'll survive.
That is the v2 version of peanut brittle, there is also the original version, both of these were posted by dwcraig1.I haven't tried the v2 version yet,but went through at least 500ml of the original,it's a good one haha. Here is the originalIs this the peanut brittle recipe? I don't use sweetener. Would cotton candy or marshmallow be a good substitute?
Thanks for your reply. I will use it at 2% instead of 3.5%.

6% Ry4 double
6% Peanut butter
1% sweetener
I seen your other post about steep time for ry4 double. It does not need the long steep like most tobacco mixes do.I use it in alot of the juices i make, and i only let it sit overnight before vaping it.The longer it steeps, the more pronounced the tobacco becomes in it,but when tasting it after a day or so,the tobacco is pretty faint, but you get a nice caramel/vanilla taste from it with a subtle tobacco note to it.
I haven't used the regular coconut yet,but the extra is a strong flavor,so that's what i've been doing is cutting it by half if a recipe calls for the regular one.I just got the regular one last week,so now i need to compare them haha. You guys are the freaking best!
I appreciate all your help. I just got one last question (I promise). I have coconut extra not coconut, so if I were to make Bill's Flamingo, would I cut the 3%, since I have extra, not regular coconut?
Again, many, many thanks. I've been making such amazing juice since I've read this whole thread, and appreciate that I can ask questions and y'all are so nice to give me help.![]()
Think I've seen that one, but I'm not a fan of butterscotch. Appreciate the effort though!I think I have seen that earl gray recipie too!
Use Earl gray at 2% or less to start. It is super strong.
There is a Scottish Earl recipe that is pretty good.

Looks like you made some good choices on those mixes. The Grand master clone,scutch,rwhy4,and peanut brittle,i can vouch are all great juices.I haven't tried those others though.I used rwhy4 as my adv for probably 4-5 months, and a little trick that was posted in the thread on it,heat a cup of water in the microwave, and then let the bottle soak in the hot water, then sit overnight, and it is very good the next day.Which version of scutch did you make, the pistachio or the almond? Thanks all!
