I'd say the glass ones would probably work best, but there are other options too_One way is to use a disposable pipette,or you can still use a plastic syringe, but pull the plunger up a bit so the flavoring doesn't touch the black seal thing, that is what really gets affected by the flavoring is that black rubber stopper.
Ah, okay. I didn't realize it was the rubber stopper being the culprit. I figured it was the plastic as I know certain plastics are attacked by some chemicals. I usually do the pull it up a bit thing anyway. I'll just pay more attention and not push it all the way down before I flush it out. Thanks!

There may be some that will attack the plastic, but most make that stopper swell up.No longer than the flavor is in the syringe,i doubt it would do much to the plastic.Ripe banana is a perfect example, when i bought it,it came in a plastic bottle, but instantly seized up the syringe, and has eaten 3-4 of my sons plastic bell caps, but after a year, the bottle is still fine haha.

Good grief! I don't check in for 3 days and I have 5 pages to catch up on!
Does key lime or really any lime change flavors for y'all after a while? I mixed up a key lime cheesecake awhile back and put it away to steep for a couple of weeks. It tasted ok, a little bland so I set it aside for a couple more weeks before I tried it again. The key lime tasted nothing like key lime. I thought it was just my taste buds but my son and a vaping friend of mine said the same thing. :(
I have experienced similar results with lemon flavors. I have read that lemon and lime flavors are more dependent on olfactory (smell) notes than gustatory (taste) notes which typically are more volatile and therefore prone to evaporation. Or, more simply stated, the flavor tends to fade rather quickly.

I am a bit of a lemon fiend and have found that I only get peak flavor for about one to one and a half weeks so I mix smaller batches. They also tend to be a lot less tolerant to heat (like warm water baths) and breathing a fresh recipe. If you need either of these tools you might want to treat the rest of the recipe first and then add your key lime afterwards. At least this is what works for me. :)

The green tea is actually for another recepie. I may try it stand alone but yea, a tiny bit of a taste and it doesn't seem real strong. I guess real brewed green tea isn't very strong though either.

Anybody have any opinions on my cheesecake having white floaters in it?
I think your on the right track with the cheesecake: some gentle heat and shaking. TFA's website mentions this:

I also agree that the Green Tea is not very strong. The recipe I use most often uses it at 13%.
I only found one result when I searched, must be doing something wrong. I'll have to play more.

Question though... What do you use to mix flavours that eat plastic syringes? I found glass ones pretty reasonable on eBay and thought maybe that's the way to go?
I think @Kenna is referring to this page: DIYorDIE Concentrates.

As for syringes; leave an air gap like @b.m. suggests, or I have also heard some will pre-coat the rubber with VG to help minimize contact, and always a thorough rinse immediately after using the offending flavor.

If you go for the glass syringes; make sure you know what the graduations are before you buy. I have seen several where the markings are not as precise as the plastic/disposable counterpart can be. For example: the typical 1mL. disposable syringe is marked in 0.01mL increments whereas the glass is often only 0.02mL (or even 0.05mL.).

I use a syringe & pull the plunger out of it. I just stick the end of the syringe against the inside of the little finger of the hand I'm holding it with. I drip the flavoring into the syringe & then hold the bottle to my pinky & uncover the hole. The flavoring drains into the bottle. I seldom use tank crackers tho. I still have plungers get stuck tho. I just was everything well & store them separately. I dip the plunger into my base mix before I put them back together since about the only thing I use both peices of the dyringe for is measuring base mix.

I've got a few that kill plastic syringes. Like Pineapple. If I need .2 ml of flavoring I pull the plunger up a little then suck up VG to the .1ml mark, then flavoring up to .3ml. Then push it out to the .1 mark. Then pull the plunger out and rinse it right away. Might reduce your accuracy a little, and it gets to the plunger eventually no matter how careful you are. But it lets you use the syringe for a while before it dies. Mark the syringe you use for those juices to keep the rest safe. Without doing something like that Pineapple is so aggressive you might not even be able to push the flavoring out once before the plunger tip locks up. Had the same problem with Lemon the one time I tried it.

I'm glad I'm not a fan of banana vapes. I still have a bunch of flavors from my last couple orders that I still haven't tried. I need to find time to try them but it's been one project after another around the house.

I didn't clean up a spill of the ripe banana from my scale and it left a trench in the scale.

Yeah it's some potent stuff,i used it a couple times and decided it's probably not a good flavor to keep using haha.My sons adv for several months was tfa banana cream, not sure which banana they use in that, but about once a month he would have to replace the plastic bell cap on his rta because they would get etched, then if he kept using the same one a bit longer,it would get cracks all the way through to where juice would slowly ooze through them.He finally decided that wasn't the best thing to be putting in his lungs haha.
I got some lemonade flavoured juice on the plastic over the gauges in my car and it etched it!

That was from Fuggin Vapor. It even ate the plastic cap on a unicorn bottle!

I'm guessing lemon could be... Dangerous, Lol
I haven't had any issues with lemon yet,but then again the only plastic my lemon has touched has been the bottle it came in.It sucks though, because it seems the best flavors are the ones that like to eat stuff haha.Perfect example is cinnamon.I vaped probably a liter of Bill's fire & ice recipe, and loved that juice. My atty had glass tank so i didn't have to worry about it eating through that, but i was replacing o-rings every 3-4 days because the cinnamon would completely dissolve them haha.

Wow! That cinnamon is potent stuff!
Yeah,at the time i wasn't sure if it was the cinnamon or the menthol,so Bill volunteered to do a test.He used one of his plastic tanks and put it in a bowl of cinnamon flavoring, and he said it ate it up in just a few hours.I don't like using flavors that do that kind of damage, but the cinnamon is so good,i have to overlook that danger and take the risk every once in a while haha, but i won't use it everyday like i used to.

Yeah, it's a tough flavor. I'm on my version #4 recipe for my "Banana Dream". I dumped Banana Ripe after v1. It's hard to get just the right balance.

I wanna hear how you got juice on the plastic over the gauges in your car...I have a picture in my head, but I'm pretty sure it's physically impossible.

Being dumb, LOL! I had it in a unicorn bottle and the top didn't fit real tight and the hole in the top was kinda small and the juice was kinda thick and I kinda squeezed too hard...

Blew the top off the bottle and squirted juice all over! Fortunately most of it ended up in my lap but it was on the windshield, the dash, the door... And the plastic over the gauges. Walla, etched plastic. Lol!

So pretty much a big, juicy disaster with no resemblance to what was in my head! Which is now gone, & replaced by the real story!
