What is a.p.?

I have been hooked on my Peanut butter Custard

5% DX Peanut Butter
5% Peanut Butter
10% Vanilla Custard

Any suggestions on improving

Thanks for all the Help..
A.P. Is acytal pyrazine which, coincidentally, may just improve your peanut butter Custard.

A.p. is an additive,it is called Acetyl pyrazine. In small amounts it gives a nutty flavor, but at higher % it starts to get a frito's/corn chip type of taste. It actually works really well with peanut butter at low % too,as it adds more nuttiness to it.
On your pb custard,i know the dx is tfa,is the other tfa too?If so,what difference have you noticed between the 2.I have the regular peanut butter, but i haven't tried the dx version.

Yes all Flavors TFA

From perfumersapprentice.com

Peanut Butter Flavor
Water soluble.

This is a rich and creamy, realistic peanut butter

*** Note: This flavor contains 'custard' ingredients: Acetoin & Acetylpropionyl.
The following link explains the frequent questions & concerns involving custard notes.
Perfumer's Apprentice

Ingredients:Natural & Artificial Flavor, Propylene Glycol

DX Peanut Butter Flavor
Water soluble.

A diketone-free version of our original Peanut Butter!

This is a rich and creamy, realistic peanut butter.
Ingredients: Natural and Artificial Flavors, Propylene Glycol, Water.

I don`t notice any difference But 5% each seemed Better than 10% of either one

I will be getting some a.p.

Go light on the AP. Just a few drops in 30ml goes a long way. It's strong stuff!

You don't play around, when trying new flavors do you? jump right into the 4 OZ right away!
I have been stocking up lately, getting the 4 OZ bottles, I should have started a long time ago.

It's ry4 based, with graham cracker and ap,to me,it has a nice nutty type of taste probably due to the ap.By far one of the best juices i've had,but then again almost every juice that i really like has been ry4 based.
Not really into tobacco flavors.

It just so happens I just got some Peanut Butter in and haven't had a chance to experiment. I think I'll be trying Osso's PB Custard for a change.

I actually ended up graduating to the 16oz bottles for all of my staple flavors. It ends up being way cheaper.

Since we are talking about flavor enhancers, I'm just beginning to get to that point in my excursion into DIY. This guy seems to have the basics of DIY enhancement additives down pretty well and offers some insight into when and how to use them. I bookmarked the site for future exploration. He seems to be more into dessert and other similar flavors as opposed to tobacco flavors.

WROTE:

Most manufacturers give a shelf life of about 12 months, but technically flavors never go "bad". I also talked about this in post #35. Yes, you should not store your flavors in the refrigerator because it will lower the saturation point of the liquid and ingredients will start precipitating out of the solution.

Technically no, flavors do not go bad like you think of with food or drinks. Flavors do change over time having an effect on the taste of the flavor. We suggest that flavors be used within 9 months of purchase for best results. As far as storage goes, flavors are best stored in glass over plastic (which is why we sell our 10, 30, and 120 mL bottles of flavorings in glass) because flavors can react with the plastic and ruin both the plastic and the flavor. Also, they should be stored in a cool, dark place (not the refrigerator).

QUESTION:
Don't "natural" ingredients have biological components that will "do stuff" & change?:

"Yes, those ingredients will change over time as well. Like in the case of a strawberry for example, it is the fruit itself that goes bad and changes the flavor components to give it a sour "rotten" taste. If you take the flavor components out of the fruit, they will not change in the same way."

Wayne's stuff is fantastic! I bought 3 of his premixes from ECX. His recipes can be pretty complex, but these are premixed & all I had to do was add pg, vg/nic & let them steep. They give the recommended % of mix to use, as well as his recommended pg/vg ratios & steep time. They are delicious. Reminding me I need to order some of his others.

Wayne? ECX? Hint hint please?

Edit... Think I found ECX. :)
Ecigexpress. Search for Enyawreklaw. Wayne Walker backwards. Go to the Flavor Concentrates section. Look for DIY or DIE Concentrates. I got Stacio-RY4U, Triple C's, & Funfetti OG. The only one I have, vt tried yet is is the Tripple C's. The othe 2 are great, they are now part of my regular rotation. Gonna try the Rosky Milk next. Really hoping he makes more available this way!

I only found one result when I searched, must be doing something wrong. I'll have to play more.

Question though... What do you use to mix flavours that eat plastic syringes? I found glass ones pretty reasonable on eBay and thought maybe that's the way to go?
I'd say the glass ones would probably work best, but there are other options too_One way is to use a disposable pipette,or you can still use a plastic syringe, but pull the plunger up a bit so the flavoring doesn't touch the black seal thing, that is what really gets affected by the flavoring is that black rubber stopper.
