    Somewhere between here and there
I don't know if it was my latest order that finally got me motivated but I finally made a complete list of flavors and don't have them scattered in ten places. I'm not organized yet but at least have organized chaos.

Being primarily a tobacco flavor guy, I'm fortunate in not having much of a problem with wick gunking and coil crusting. I change my Koh Gen Do cotton wicks every couple of days and the only crud is a darkening under the coil when I pull it out. Dry burning the coil produces a tiny wisp of smoke and a dip under the faucet while it's glowing red leaves it clean and smooth.

I plan to delve into fruit and candy flavors as an experiment. I enjoy a change here and there. Dekang Watermelon is one fruit flavor I like. Any other suggestions for candy and sweets in DIY flavors?

A friend gave me a few FlavorArt flavors. Since all my flavors thus far are TPA, I'm wondering if in general, are the FA flavors considered MORE or LESS concentrated then the TPA flavors? Thanks!

They are generally more concentrated, they are recommended to start out low like 2 to 3 %, some are lower though like 1 %, those are tobacco flavors I think.

I have quite a few. They're mainly fantastic and much more concentrated. I'm finding 2 things about them.

    1. They're all (well all that I'm using) created at a very similar level of potency.
    2. If it's your main flavor it's 1-2%, and as a supporting flavor, .5-1%.

Similar to this TFA focused thread ;), over at VU, there's a renowned mixer 'HeadInClouds' who has many recipes and has also created great flavor notes for each. She has a pay site where you can get the notes gratis  hicsmixes dot com.

I learned a lot from HIC, I learned about him first here on ECF, on this thread. :)

Pure Vapes has 3ml FlavourArt flavorings

There is a lot of good info in that thread, but it is scattered threw out the thing, I still go back to read it every now and then. I kind of followed over there at VU for a bit, but I just did not like that forum for some reason, I am not sure why though.:|

FA Desert Ship is good at 1%, but those who like really lightly favored tobaccos might like less flavor. I might even try it at .75% next time. Adding flavor after the fact is easy. Flavourart is good for adding later because it's more concentrated and that means less dilution of the nic content.

Yes, you get your money's worth with Flavourart. A little goes a long way.

Check out the Flavourart threads here on ECF for suggestions on specific flavors.

Hey @kas122461 for the longest time I thought HIC was a guy, until one post (can't remember) and I now believe HIC is gender female. Not that it matters the slightest bit (unlike in the song Lola by the Kinks. )

VU was where I found first, here shortly afterwards. My local flavorist/rebottler sold TFA but not FA. I found this thread, and Bill was very active. You all seemed like some good folk, :toast: so I parked my shoes here, and very glad I did.

I always thought HIC, was a guy but I have not been to VU in about a year, so I have not seen any new posts from HIC in a long time, but if HIC is a man or a woman, HIC is amazing with flavor art flavors. :)

Anyone have personal experience with TFA Mango, TFA Watermelon, TFA Candy Watermelon, or TFA Juicy Peach?

I was considering buying a few of these, thanks :)
Those are all pretty good.I've never ate a mango,so i can't say if it tastes like the real thing or not,but it is good, juicy peach is pretty authentic tasting, the 2 watermelons are both pretty good too,the regular watermelon tastes like the juice from the watermelon, the candy version i have used, but not as a standalone, but the mix it was in was pretty good too.

Thanks I was thinking of using the Mango as sort of a backnote to the watermelon. But maybe Honeydew or Cantaloupe would complement the watermelon better. Some other ideas I had were to mix in a little Marshmellow or a little cucumber.

Just want to try to avoid as much as possible buying more bottles of flavoring that just collect dust in a drawer. I have spent far too much money on flavorings I try once or twice, then never see the light of day again, really sucks. Can be so hit or miss but I have had the most luck with TFA for sure :)

I know that feeling all too well.I have probably 100 or more that may never get used again. When i first started mixing,i was buying 5-6 new flavors every week to try different recipes out.Now a few years in,i have found what i like, and have maybe 10 that i use on a regular basis,so most of the others never get touched.
On the mango, not sure how it would go with watermelon, could be good together, but have never tried it.The only recipe i have used the mango in was Bill's mango custard, which i can say is a good one.
