There is a pretty nice calculator that has a bunch of recipes. You can search recipes for the ingredients you have. Take a look at this and don't forget to download the xml recipe files. Pretty good stuff.

The recipes have the recommended percentages.

I spent the day testing how many drops makes a ML from my droppers and bottles. You can plug that into the calc as well to get more accurate percentages.

Experimenting is the best part. The steeping times are not but it looks your ingredients won't need to steep much as they are not tobacco :)

Is that the EJuiceMeUp calculator software?

Im new to the DIY scene and I am looking at flavorings from TFA. I have my basic fruit flavors that I like such as cherry and banana, but I anjoy my ADV to be somewhat of a vanilla/tobacco blend. Two of my favorites for comparisons sake are from Ahlusion: Smooth Criminal and Vanilla Wildwood. Ive been looking around TFAs site and kinda started to get confused about some of the tobacco flavorings. Not so much the tobacco they have listed with the normal flavorings, but the ones under the "molecules used in tobacco blends". Ideally, I would like to create something like the vanilla wildwood, but I know that will probably never happen. I would like to get something very similar to that in a mix I can replicate. Is anyone well versed in the "molecules.." section of TFA?

...anyone?

I haven't vape any Ahlusion's juice but sounds like you might enjoy this:

I just had a splendid success with TPA Tobacco Absolute. TA is very much a "less is more" sort of a thing.

I started with concentrated pure Tobacco Absolute. Pure TA needs a warm water bath before you can handle it easily. I made a 10% solution of PG and ethyl maltol crystals (1/4 teaspoon in 10 mL). To this I added 2 drops of pure TA, and let it sit for 3-4 days.

Then I made a 15 mL batch of my preferred base liquid, and added:

1% (5 drops or 0.2 mL) of TA/PG solution
4% (0.6 mL) TPA French Vanilla
2% (0.3 mL) TPA Dulce de Leche

This makes a rich, cigarette-like flavor that is faintly sweet with just a hint of vanilla.

I enjoy frequently though might bump TA slightly or perhaps add a dash of TFA's Ry4 Asian.

Apologies to the original poster; couldn't find your post in order to give credit. But you have my thanks as well.

Your my new hero.

I have had a boatload of supplies from WL for over a week, and have yet to mix my first drop. I just keep reading and hoping to find that one perfect recipe that I know is going to be a knockout.

Did you mainly use single flavor recipes? Any hints to a new guy on his first time?

I made them all at 60/40 vg/pg. I made 2 at 15% flavoring and 1 of them 20. I tried a single, double, and quad flavoring, and surprisingly all are good. I use the TFA flavor chart %'s and kind of based my flavoring percentage decisions off of that. Its trial and error I guess. I had a good start luckily. I would just experiment and see how it goes. Hope all goes well!

The best advice I took from here when I started DIY was to make small batches of your flavors alone first to get familiar with them. Once you know your flavors, you'll have a better idea of what will go well with what. You'll also be better able to work with recipes from others. For example, flavors from different vendors can vary quite a bit as far as strength. If you're following a recipe that calls for 15% strawberry and 5% peach, but you know the peach you have is way more overpowering than your strawberry, you know you have to tweak the percents to get anywhere close to the flavor intended. Also, since everyone's tastes are different, you'll be better able to look at a recipe and know if you'll like it "as is" or if you need to make a few adjustments before mixing juice that's gonna go to waste. Just because you looooove chocolate, you may be quite upset when testing that first batch of "chocolate pudding" recipe that you found and expected to be amazing, without first knowing what the chocolate you have tastes like. :)

I agree that's the best advice ever given...here what I did though....I made a bunch of small batches and didn't name them all because I got lazy after about 8 mixes...now I am tasting stuff and have no idea what it is  So always name those small batches or only make a few at a time

Um...yeah lol. That could really suck. A fine point sharpie is your friend when mixing. I mark high on the bottle and it fades sometimes, but I can still read it enough to know what I wrote, and it comes off easy when need be.

Going to start diy'ing soon, already have my shopping cart ready. I picked kiwi, marshmellow, blueberry candy, apple candy and sweetener from TFA. Any opinions of these flavors?

Everyone's tastes are different, and it depends on what kind of flavors you want to make. I started with lots of really sweet candy flavors, but have been enjoying the heck outta the more natural "real" fruit flavors for a little while now. I think most people would agree that the flavors you have are great, if you're looking for candy type flavors. :)
Welcome to the world of DIY, have fun!

Yeah my favs are candy/fruit flavors. I figured maybe I could make something similar to frankenvape with the kiwi and marshmellow but we'll see.

I thought it'd take a lot more $ to get started but my whole shopping cart with 250ml PG, 60ml of 60mg nic, 4 bottles, 2 syringes and all the flavors is only $45 w shipping so not bad. I'm pretty excited

I've been working on a Frankenvape clone myself actually lol. Good luck!

Yeah, I was overjoyed at how much $ I saved when I quit smoking and started vaping, then I was ecstatic when I started saving loads more DIY'ing my juice, coils, and wicks. :)

Anyone here try the Red velvet cake flavoring yet? Just curious. I plan on using this flavoring with Lorann's cream cheese frosting flavor.

I've made my own red velvet cake before because it hasn't been in stock the times I've ordered, would love to know how good their version is.

Ecigexpress has the flavor under the "signature flavorings" brand. So far it is the only place that has it in stock.
