Does anyone have any insight on the following TFA flavors?

Hazelnut Praline
Worcestershire
Turkish tobacco

Think I've tasted -- and enjoyed -- Worcestershire in some tobaccos (?). Also should I have concerns that Cheesecake contains "milk solids"?

I really like the hazelnut praline. I throw a little in with chocolate and a few other things for my favorite ADV. I've added it to banana bread, cheesecake, and a few other dessert mixes and it really tastes yummy.

I've got a question and I haven't been able to find anything yet. I love cinnamon flavors. My favorite mixes use the TFA cinnamon red hots. I use the alcohol version as the pg version seems to have a little bit of an off taste. Anyway all of my mixes that I use it in taste great for about 3 weeks, then it seems to go bad. Almost like there is no cinnamon flavor left in it.
Anyone else had this problem? I've tried a couple different bottles of it and it always ends the same. I've tried other vendors cinnamon red hots flavor and they don't taste as good as the TFA.

can anyone tell me what the difference is between Bavarian cream and sweet cream, and the difference between vanilla swirl and vanillin?

thank you

Everyone's tastes differ but to me BC is very creamy and a bit sweet with almost a custard taste. SC is much sweeter, but not as custardy and more like a milky cream.
VS is very close to a good vanilla soft serve ice cream, and vanillin is a vanilla enhancement which isn't for sweetness or custard/creaminess. Last but not least, they're all awesome in chocolate or fruits! ;)

First, I want to say thank you partyanimal, you have answered a couple of my questions in the past day or two, and I really appreciate it. When it comes to the VS or vanillin, which do you find yourself using more in your recipes? I think I will order some BC, but my budget will only allow for one more flavor, and it is between VS and vanillin.

For example, lets say I wanted to try this recipe:
Blueberry extra 8%
pomegranate 5%
vanillin 5%.

If I switched the vanillin with the VS, would it be drastically different?

Thank you once again, and I promise I'm done asking questions for the rest of the night.

You're very welcome! I enjoy giving back to the great community that helped me get as far as I have. :)
Ask away, someone will almost always come along and help out. We all start knowing nothing, we can't learn if we don't ask for answers. ;)
Anyway, the vanillin is just a vanilla enhancer. I don't think it smells like what we'd expect vanilla to smell like, and I use it most often to pull forward the vanilla like flavors already in the mix. It won't add body, sweetness, creaminess or anything other than a bump of vanilla flavor. If you're looking to add the other qualities I mentioned, you'll want one of the creams.
Since the creams/custards add so much more, I started with them and eventually got some vanillin to add along with them. I have a low vaping budget myself, so it's taken me months to acquire the dozens of flavors I now use regularly, don't sweat it. Honestly I got cheesecake before any creams just because I love cheesecake and wanted to make variations. I found I works well in small percents to add creamy was to everything I put it in. So if you're starting small I'd suggest getting one that you can multitask such as the VS or BC.
I hope that helps. :2cool:

By the way, I've tried this Andromeda clone personally and ended up adding some SC. I liked how it tasted, but I thought it was better with the cream.
That's one if the charms of DIY, you can "have it your way" lol. ;)

Hey all. New to the DIY game but I managed to cave and buy a few flavours. Is there a preferred method to test flavours? As in percentages to taste correctly. And this is the bonus question, when mixing with multiple flavours, do you start with your preferred percentages for best taste individually and tweak as needed or is there a simple preferred method to this as well.

Thanks in advance for any help or opinions, I'm just trying to do it the best way and not waste product

Methods for tasting your new flavors vary from person to person. I've tested flavors by making a tiny test batch (3-5ml) with my base and starting with 5% of the new flavor. Most often I'll add a few drops to my coffee because I'm a coffee junkie lol. I've seen others put a drop or two on their finger (yukk lol), in a little whipped cream, a shotglass of water, or even some soda. It's really personal preference, but to nail the percentages I've gotten my best results by mixing a small test batch and dripping some of it. If you start small you can easily add more base or flavor as you need to.
Good luck! And welcome to the frustrating, yet very rewarding world of DIY. :thumb:

I just got some dk base ry4 double and m type. Mixed a batch and my first impression is that the ry4 double was weak and didn't taste like tobacco the m type was strong and nasty and so was the dk base (they didn't taste like tobacco either) I mixed em at 15% so I think I need to cut the dk base and m type waaaay back and I'm not sure what to do with the ry4 to make it taste right.

I didn't let em sit at all (lol impatient you know) and after all was said and done I ended up mixing em up to taste with some molasses flavoring and sweetener and they are bearable 2 days in but I am interested in trying to make something that tastes right so can anyone tell me what %'s of these they use?

BTW I was also mixing some tfa cinnamon red hots (pg) and had some interesting issues. If you want to check that thread out I think I came up with a solution.

As a general rule tobacco flavors need to steep so I'm almost positive that's your problem. Find a good fruit or candy mix to enjoy right away while you wait for your tobacco to do its thing. ;)

Time, what you need to add to your juice is time. RY4 requires a long steep to really shine.
I would cut that concentration by at least 1/2.

Ry4 double is my husband's ADV. I mix 100ml/month at 6%. We put it into a dark cupboard for 3 months before opening the bottle. (There are 3 100 ml bottles in the cupboard right now, about 1 month apart in their travel to maturity.)

This juice really shines after a long steep... a really long steep but well worth it!
