So i'm about to place an order. What flavors do you recommend. I usually vape on fruit and desserts

I am a HUGE fan of TFA Strawberry (ripe), and Dragonfruit. I have a bunch of other fruits that I play around with, but I almost always go back to or add a little of the strawberry and I haven't gotten tired of it yet. It's pretty overwhelming stuff though, so I use it in small percentages (around 6%) but ymmv. :)

Agreed 100% ^^^^

I'll add a couple more. TFA makes two kinds of Peach- Peach and Peach Juicy, I think the Peach Juicy is the far superior one. I also like Pear, Raspberry Sweet, Blueberry Extra, and Pineapple (at 10%). Everyone's tastes are different, but those are some of my favorites. :vapor:

Cheers,
Steve

Does anyone have a comment about quality and recommended strength for TFA Pralines and Cream? I have some on the way.

Thanks!

I agree with the comments about the fruit. Juicy Peach, Pear, Blueberry (wild), and Raspberry Sweet are great. I'm an apple lover and use TFA Apple as my base for apple dominant recipes, but I have to admit I mix 1-2% of another vendor's Apple Red because it adds what I think isn't quite perfect with TFA's straight apple.

I think I forgot to mention the Peach Juicy and I am needing to reorder. What is the other vendor's apple? I really need a good one. Also, what do you compare TFA's pineapple to? Fresh, canned or jolly rancher type pineapple? I had a store bought one that was ok--a little too sweet but I was just adding it to other things--especially Peach Juicy--but it didn't survive the trip through the last airport--baggie full of pineapple smelling mess--so now I need to make my own.

The pineapple to me tastes like fresh pineapple. I think if you add to high of a % you could push it towards candy though.

Cheers,
Steve

Edit I want to add a little disclaimer to the Pineapple - I like it but not everyone does and it can also be a tank cracker. Don't want someone trying it and ripping me because they don't like it or it damages their plastic tank :D

HI all. I have gleaned a fair bit of extremely helpful info from many of the posts in this thread over the last year and I wanted to say thanks.

Thank you all.

I will be adding my impressions to the thread of the 30 or so flavour concentrates I have tried from TFA in the near future.

For the moment, I was hoping that I could do a little getting before the giving…

Anyone here tried the new flavor: Red Velvet Cake?

I impulse bought a 4oz bottle of the stuff from the bulk section. Just looking for an approximate starting % for mixing up a taster batch.
I steep old school ( I wait impatiently ) and have a only a couple of hours each week to spend mixing.

Any experience with this flavour would be great. If not, I will add my experience to the list in a week or so.

Thanks again all for the great resource.

FlavorWest Apple Red adds what I'm looking for to TFA Apple.

I have the Red Velvet Cake but haven't mixed it up yet. I like to keep smelling the flavors and coming back to them for a while and think about them before I mix them. The Red Velvet Cake definitely has the "frosting" note compared to just a Chocolate flavor. I also have the Fudge Brownie, and that one seems like it's going to be stronger than the chocolates....a different fudgy smell. I know you can't go by smell alone, but that's sometimes a good indicator.
I would say that a safe starting point for the Red Velvet Cake alone would be 5%, then up the % from there. It might turn out to be better as a mixer.

I'm fixin to start mixin!

In the meantime, I have spent the last 3 days mostly reading the preceding 183 pages of posts! I have learned a lot. This is one great basin of knowledge and experience.

Thanks to each one of you that shared your recipes and experiences.

Ever so often, I noticed the list of flavors being brought forward as it received updates.

Will the "holder-of-the-list" please bring it forward? Or, tell me where to go to get the most recent version.

Hey guys and gals, just wondering if anyone has had any luck with Lemon (water soluble) Flavor or Strawberries and Cream Flavor I have never had any luck with one or the other. Normally mix the lemon at 5-8% and the straw and cream around 8% but they both just end up tasting like a chemically even after a long steep.

I have a question. On the recent TFA flavoring list what are those last numbers for? Ex. 4/5 or 5/5 is this a flavor rating? I'm going to try DIY for the first time. My order shipped today from wizard labs and I'm looking forward to give this a try. I have 19 flavors coming so I'm not sure where I'm going to begin. But I've read through most of these pages and took in a lot of information. So thank you to you all! If I have success I'll share with you all. And I'm sure I'll be asking questions of I'm unsuccessful, lol.
